"300” star Gerard Butler said he's heard studio chatter about Zack Snyder's blockbuster adaptation becoming a franchise, but he's skeptical of how a prequel or sequel to the film might develop.
Asked by SuperHeroHype about the likelihood of another film set in the pseudo-historical world of "300," Butler said he's "heard some backroom chatter, but nothing more."
After the wildly popular adaptation of a Frank Miller graphic novel made director Zack Snyder a sought-after property in Hollywood, Snyder and "300” producers have mentioned the possibility of making the film the first in a series. However, given the self-contained nature of the story and its conclusion, even Butler was a bit uncertain about how such a return to the world of "300” would be possible.
"I can't see it myself -- sequel for me absolutely not, but I just mean the idea generally, I'm really not sure which way they would go with that," Butler told SuperHeroHype.
Should "300” get a prequel or a sequel? What do you think?
