Chloe Moretz, who plays the pre-teen vigilante called Hit Girl in Matthew Vaughn's upcoming adaptation of the Mark Millar/John Romita Jr. series "Kick-Ass," has updated her online journal with some thoughts from the London set of the film.
Moretz writes that "Kick-Ass" is being filmed in one of the same studios used for "Star Wars," and calls co-star Nicolas Cage (who plays Hit Girl's guardian, Big Daddy, in the film) "the coolest man ever."
"[Cage] just takes everything that is written in the script and just gives it something really cool and really special," wrote Moretz. "I just get to act off of what he does and I can’t even believe it. ... Just wait, when you see how he is playing Big Daddy you are going to be so amazed. Everyday that I come to set I learn something new. Sometimes we just joke around in between takes then we kind of use it when we shoot."
The 11-year-old actress had equally high praise for "Kick-Ass" director Matthew Vaughn, who she called "one of the best directors I have ever worked with."
Previously, Moretz wrote about the action scenes in "Kick-Ass" and her Hit Girl costume, and her new entry provides an update of sorts on both those topics. (Along the same lines, here are some early photos of star Aaron Johnson's "Kick-Ass" costume.)
"The action scenes are SICK!" Moretz posted. "I have to say, Hit Girl is pretty cool. I’m not at all like her but she is just full out wild! My costume just keeps getting better."
More news from "Kick-Ass" means another opportunity to get your thoughts on the film, folks! Do you think Chloe can pull off the ultra-violent requirements of the Hit Girl role?
