I had a lot to say in yesterday's comics-fan perspective on "Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe," so you can consider this post a footnote of sorts to yesterday's assessment. While I mentioned some of my favorite "fatality/brutality" finishing scenes -- and the trouble I had making some of them work -- YouTube user twistedmkfan has taken the time to not only perform all of the moves, but also compile all of them in an 8-minute video on YouTube.
As I mentioned yesterday, some of the fatalities are pretty gruesome, so I've posted the video (as well as a more extended list of my personal favorites) after the jump. It's also worth noting that the author of the video chose to include both the current version of Joker's "headshot" fatality and the previously released, far more graphic version.
Got all that? As far as DC's characters go, I have to admit feeling a disturbing fondness for both of Deathstroke's brutal finishing moves (he gives Wonder Woman a taste of her own medicine -- Maxwell Lord-style), as well as Lex Luthor's fatalities. The flurry of beatings that Flash administers in one of his finishing moves is pretty impressive (and one of the easiest to pull off), and I dig Batman's decision to call in a swarm of bats to finish off an opponent immensely.
On the other side, I wasn't very impressed with either of Wonder Woman's finishers, and both Superman and Captain Marvel had me wishing for a bit more from these two big-hitters.
What do you think, readers? Have any favorites in the bunch? Having trouble pulling any of these moves off? Have a suggestion for how one of the characters should have finished his/her opponent?
