By now we've all heard plenty about the heroes in "Watchmen" -- from Jackie Earle Haley talking about Rorschach's mask to Matthew Goode's take on Ozymandias' sexual preferences -- but very little has been said in regards to the other heroes in "Watchmen." If you've read the original graphic novel, you know we're referring to the "original" Minutemen -- the heroes that paved the way for the current team featured in the film.
Arguably one of the most interesting aspects of the comic, The Minutemen finally get their time in the spotlight with the latest "Watchmen" video journal to hit the web, currently being shown exclusively on Apple.com. In addition to tons of new "old" footage featuring the the likes of Hooded Justice, Captain Metropolis, the original versions of Nite Owl and Silk Spectre, and "Watchmen" mainstay, The Comedian, the latest video journal also sheds light on the differences between the two generations of heroes, and director Zack Snyder hints at how the 1940s team photo will play a major role in the upcoming film.
But it's not all plot teasers and morality, there's some fascinating insight from "Watchmen" co-creator Dave Gibbons, who explains that one of the characters featured in the clip was based on a drawing he did when he was only 14-years-old, and head costume designer Michael Wilkinson talks about the fun of designing cheesy superhero costumes in a 21st century world.
