As we continue the countdown to the "Watchmen" feature film debut (which, according to our handy "Watchmen" widget, currently stands at 31 days, 13 hours, 49 minutes and 34 seconds as of the writing of this post), one would assume that there would start to be a lull in exclusive images or news items to get us all worked up...yet the hits keep coming!
Today, Entertainment Weekly gets in on the act, posting an exclusive image which they report is an actual scene from the beginning of the film. We've got that image in full, glorious color after the jump, and also news from the film's director, Zack Snyder, on an all-new website as well as comments regarding the recently-concluded lawsuit that nearly saw the film delayed indefinitely.
Cruelfilms.com, which launched over the weekend, is a one-stop source for all things Snyder and his production company, Cruel & Unusual Films, including news on his upcoming work as well as personality profiles of those he works with (including his wife, Cruel & Unusual co-President, Deborah Snyder). Today, Snyder posted the image below from the film, which eagle-eyed "Watchmen" fans should recognize as the the opening scene finding Rorschach about to enter the recently-offed Comedian's apartment to do some investigating.

Meanwhile, Snyder has opened up regarding the recently concluded trial which saw 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. facing-off over film rights, and had this to say in the EW article, "[It's] a big relief to me. I'm glad that cooler heads prevailed and the fans are not going to have to resort to any criminal acts. [laughs] I'm half-joking. I'm glad there's that kind of passion [about the movie], I guess."
Will you be checking out Snyder's website often? What do you think of the latest "Watchmen" image to hit the web? Let's hear from you in the comments.
