Let the first looks begin at Edgar Wright’s cast for ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’! Mary Elizabeth Winstead peeked over a copy of ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ Volume 2 yesterday on the director’s MySpace blog, giving the world a taste (or at least two eyes and a hairstyle) of what she will look like as delivery girl bombshell Ramona Flowers, the love interest of Michael Cera's title character, Scott Pilgrim.
It’s a fair presumption that this shot isn’t from the film, since she is in fact holding a copy of the original book. But that is definitely the world famous CN Tower in the background, which means they are in Toronto, Scott’s home in the story. (Read on for the full image.)

The Internet has been ablaze recently after actor Brandon Routh suggested that the "Scott Pilgrim" movie might be combining animation and live action on a large scale. However, "Scott Pilgrim" creator Bryan Lee O’Malley disputed that assessment this weekend at New York Comic Con, saying the description had been “blown out of proportion.”
The story, based on O’Malley’s 6-volume series of books from Oni Press, follows manchild Scott Pilgrim on his quest to defeat Ramona Flowers’ evil ex-boyfriends. Right now, the cast is confirmed to include “Fantastic Four” actor Chris Evans, as well as Superman himself, Brandon Routh, and Kieron Culkin.
What do you think? Does Mary Elizabeth Winstead have the eyes for the part? Do you have a ‘Degrassi’-fueled itch for youthful Canadian hi-jinx that this movie may scratch by planting itself in Toronto? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
