The big-screen adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis' crime-noir thriller "Torso" has traveled a rough road the last few years, and I wasn't alone in wondering how the project would be affected by last month's announcement that the rights to the film had expired with Paramount. While the film's producer, Bill Mechanic, told MTV News last week that "Ness" (the working title for the film) is still on and likely to remain with the studio, I snagged Bendis himself to get an update on the project during New York Comic Con.
"I have to be very Zen about it," Bendis told MTV News of his take on the situation. After confirming that the rights had indeed reverted to himself and "Torso" co-creator Marc Andreyko, Bendis said there is "still movement afoot with the project" and it "hasn't died."
