While we've been paying oodles of attention to sequels for "Iron Man" and "The Dark Knight," it seems like the movie most actors and actresses hope will get moving sooner rather than later is "Sin City 2," considering all the recent comments by the film's original cast -- from Michael Clarke Duncan to Jamie King to Alexis Bledel.
And now, Rosario Dawson -- who played Gail in the first film -- is adding her voice to the chorus of A-list actors and actresses putting the pressure on Frank Miller to get moving on "Sin City 2." In an interview with SuperHeroHype.com, when asked if there'd been any movement on the follow-up, Dawson replied, "I just talked to Frank about [the script] and said he finished it a couple of months ago so I'm really excited to get it going. Supposedly it's going to happen in 2009."
Yet regardless of the fact that Dawson hasn't had a chance to read Miller's script, she apparently does know some interesting tidbits of information regarding her character. "I don't think she's going to be poppin' out any babies and singing any songs or anything like that," Dawson hinted when asked about her character's evolution. "What's actually really fun about it is that we get to investigate it a little bit more into the storyline that was actually in 'Sin City 2' - that middle chapter which is where Gail mostly was. Investigate a little more as to who is this man and what are they talking about when he's got a different face."
Meanwhile, no stranger to geek culture herself, Dawson also gave fans of her own comic book series, "O.C.T.", an update -- both on the possibility of new issues as well as where it stands in terms of a feature film.
"We're going to have a preview book that we're going to put out at San Diego Comic-Con and that will have some stuff from the miniseries," she said in terms of comic work, but with the movie, "We're developing it. We had it with Dimension and we're starting to see about it taking it someplace else. We've got writers that we really like and it's about greenlighting a picture. The more you all talk about it the more possible that will be so help me out a little bit."
Anything for you, Rosario!
