'Tis the season for Iron Man-ia! Forget all that casting mumbo jumbo (well, maybe not all of it, as you'll see after the jump) -- that's old news now that the highly anticipated "Iron Man 2" has entered principal photography.
In addition to director Jon Favreau's various Twitter updates from the first day of "Iron Man 2" shooting, some eagle-eyed photographers at Spoiler TV have uncovered the first pictures of stars Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle as Tony Stark, Pepper Potts and Jim "Rhodey" Rhodes, respectively.

In related Shellhead news, if you thought that "Arrested Development" star Will Arnett joining "Jonah Hex" was a weird, err, development, wait until you get a load of this one: Garry Shandling ("The Larry Sanders Show") is in "Iron Man 2."
Robert Downey Jr. revealed the blink-or-you'll-miss-it casting of Mr. Shandling during an ExtraTV interview posted last week. Believe it or not, the comedian, most famous for the aforementioned HBO series, has already filmed a scene for the superhero sequel.
"Shandling is a reporter or Senator or some sort that appears in a continuation of the final scene from the first 'Iron Man' film," claims rumor site IESB, referring to Tony Stark's public revelation at the end of the first film. The report -- still very much a rumor, of course -- indicates that "Iron Man 2" will open as a direct continuation of that famous scene.
