Those of us hunting for "Iron Man 2" news have had to settle for mysterious set photos and unverified concept sketches lately, but a pair of big updates finally hit the 'Net today, courtesy of a recent interview with the Marvel blockbuster's cast and director Jon Favreau.
"Rhodesy is definitely stepping up in this film. Let me put it this way: Tony's not the only person with technology in the film," Favreau told Empire when asked about the likelihood that Don Cheadle will suit up in the War Machine armor.
And while the potential debut of War Machine is enough to get comics fans buzzing about the much-anticipated sequel, the interview also offered up some revealing quotes from actor Mickey Rourke for fans to digest -- namely, some hints about the Whiplash armor he'll be sporting in the film.
"It's been really brutal, because my Iron Man suit weighs 23lb," said Rourke. "It's sort of a half-suit, with half my skin showing, with lots of Russian tattoos, because [Whiplash is just] out of a Russian-zone prison."
While Rourke's response does give us the first concept of what he'll look like in the film, it also seems to cast some doubt on the Whiplash concept design that was making the rounds last week. Unfortunately, it looks like we'll still have to wait on any information regarding how Scarlett Johansson will look as Black Widow -- but I guess that's what dreams are for, right?
What, too much information?
What do you think about these two costume-related quotes? Psyched to see War Machine? Wondering about Whiplash?
