Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" hits theaters this week, and just like with every other recent blockbuster, that means a cornucopia of cool "Transformers"-related swag is hitting the market.

As is the growing trend these days, Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch are the recipients of quite a bit of attention from studios, publishers and everyone else with a license to develop "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" products. Recently, IDW Publishing announced that, along with their long history of "Transformers" comics on the print side, they'll also be making a sizeable chunk of these comics available on iPhone, too -- starting with a dozen comics directly related to "Revenge of the Fallen." Fraggle RockThis week, Archaia Comics and the Jim Henson Company confirmed rumors of a potential partnership between the two creative companies, and offered official word that the pair would be publishing new comic book series and graphic novels based on popular properties like "The Dark Crystal," "Labyrinth" and "Mirrormask." And while this news on its own should be enough to excite fans of Henson's varied and much beloved library, the pair also offered Splash Page readers the exclusive announcement regarding which property will be the first to hit shelves.

"'Fraggle Rock' is going to be the first book that we launch," Archaia’s Director of Development, Stephen Christy, told MTV News. "We're launching with 'Fraggle Rock' and other titles will be forthcoming." Read More...

Bridget ReganFans of "Legend of the Seeker" star Bridget Regan have big hopes for the actress in an online petition right now, and if they have their way she might be going to toe-to-toe with Beyonce and Jessica Biel for the role of Wonder Woman.

The role of DC Comics' premier super-heroine, which Megan Fox is apparently not interested in, is still uncommitted at this point if the film is indeed moving forward. Read More...

Days MissingGene Roddenberry, the man best known for laying the foundations of the "Star Trek" universe, left more behind when he died in 1991 than the landmark sci-fi franchise currently being remastered by J.J. Abrams. The company he founded, Gene Roddenberry Productions, also left its mark on television with series like "Earth: Final Conflict" and "Andromeda."

Now, the inheritors of the fanboy-sacred Roddenberry name are moving into comics, launching a series titled "Days Missing" with Archaia. Read More...

'The Last Airbender'The new trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender" has hit the 'Net, and we have your first look at it here on Splash Page!

Now, even though the new trailer keeps things simple and doesn't reveal too much about the story, that doesn't mean there aren't some things we can learn about Shyamalan's live-action adaptation of the award-winning animated series. Heck, we're pretty sure there are some of you out there who probably haven't even heard of "The Last Airbender" until now -- but that's going to change.

Here's a quick breakdown of "Airbender" alongside some shots from the new trailer. Consider it "Airbender 101" for the uninitiated. Read More...

FROM MTV MOVIES: While director Christopher Nolan's future with the Batman franchise is very much up in the air, speculation surrounding a follow-up to last year's "The Dark Knight" continues unabated. One persistent rumor — perhaps fan-created — is the possibility of Johnny Depp joining the cast as the Riddler.

When MTV News caught up with the actor while he was promoting his upcoming Michael Mann film "Public Enemies," Depp told us he's open to taking on the role of the puzzle-hurling villain.

"If the opportunity came, I'd definitely juggle it," he said.

If not for the offer of "whipping lessons" from Michelle Pfeiffer, the Catwoman of 1992's "Batman Returns," last week would have been a complete downer for Batman movie fans. On Wednesday, a rumor hit the 'Net that director Christopher Nolan might not return for a third film after "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight," and we've seen little reason to disqualify it thus far.

Heck, when we spoke to Batman actor Christian Bale on the set of his upcoming film "Public Enemies," even he sounded uncertain about the Dark Knight's big-screen future.

"I truly don't know that we're ever going to see another Batman movie," Bale told MTV News. Read More...

SleeperWhile talking with writer Ed Brubaker about the return of Captain America to the Marvel Comics universe, the recent release of "Sleeper: Season One" (a collection of his 2003-2005 superhero crime series) reminded me that the "Captain America" comic isn't his only project with big-screen connections. But what's going on with the "Sleeper" movie these days?

Back in August, it was announced that "Sleeper" was tagged for adaptation with Sam Raimi producing the film and Tom Cruise starring as Holden Carver, a super-powered secret agent deep undercover within a supervillain cabal and left hanging when the only person who knows he's one of the good guys falls into a coma. In October, word hit the wire that Hollywood newcomer Brad Ingelsby would write the screenplay for the adaptation, but updates have been few and far between since that time.

According to Brubaker, little has changed since the last update -- except for the screenwriter, that is. Read More...

Red SonjaWhen it comes to Robert H. Howard's creations, it's typically Conan that steals the headlines. In recent weeks, that's perfectly understandable -- after all, the new film just landed itself a director and potentially a lead actor. But aren't we forgetting a not-so-little red-headed someone?

Indeed, it's been nearly a year since the announcement of "Red Sonja," the Rose McGowan-starring, Robert Rodriguez-produced adaptation of the popular Howard creation. Still, other than early promotional posters, there hasn't been much information on the project, which is apparently due to a combination of Conan himself and an even greater threat -- the current economic climate.
