Michael PapajohnFirst he killed Uncle Ben, then it turned out that he didn't really pull the trigger. So when kinda-maybe-sorta killer Dennis Carradine shows up in "Spider-Man 4," what kind of role will he have?

That's the question that has the 'net buzzing based on actor Michael Papajohn's recent comments that he'll be returning for the "Spider-Man" franchise's fourth installment. Read more...

MagnetoAfter the success of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," it's no longer a question of whether we'll see further "X-Men" movies -- it's only a matter of which one we'll see first.

David Goyer, the man behind the rumored "X-Men Origins: Magneto" film, has weighed in on the subject himself, telling Superhero Hype that the long-awaited villain-centric spin-off might have to wait a little longer should Fox decide to pursue "X-Men: First Class" before "Magneto." Read more...

I Killed Adolph HitlerPlenty of characters have smacked Hitler around over the years. But despite Captain America's right cross and Superman's stern talking-to, the menace was never fully put-down. Even Hollywood couldn't finish the job in 2008's assassination-themed "Valkyrie."

Leave it to Norwegian artist Jason (just one name -- like Cher) to finally finish the job in "I Killed Adolf Hitler," his 2007 graphic novel now optioned for film development. Read more...

Eliza DushkuA pair of leading ladies dominated this week's top stories, but a "Transformers" star's vocal stylings managed to find a place among the week's most popular posts, too. Here's how the last few days shook out:

- "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum Eliza Dushku talked to us about the "Buffy" movie rumors, Joss Whedon and whether she's been keeping up on her comics -- and ended up the week's top story!

- We reached back into the archives for some thoughts from Angelina Jolie on the prospect of returning for "Wanted 2," and apparently it was a hot topic for fans. Read more...

Astro BoySummit Entertainment has released a pair of new images from "Astro Boy," the CGI-animated film based on the popular anime/manga character. The new images feature Astro Boy himself showing off his twin hand cannons, as well as a crowd facing off against a massive robot that -- if I'm going to venture a guess -- doesn't exactly have their best interests in mind.

"Astro Boy" stars Freddie Highmore as the voice of the title character, and he's joined by an all-star cast that includes Nicolas Cage, Kristen Bell, Matt Lucas, and many more notables. Read more...

Tyler LabineIll-fated television series "Reaper" already has a few connections to the comic book world, the involvement of Kevin Smith not withstanding. Now, the show could be on the cusp of its biggest and most direct tie to the medium yet.

In an interview with Newsarama, "Reaper" star Tyler Labine said that despite the show's cancellation, the story will continue on as a comic book. Read more...

The good news is that “Jonah Hex” is finally getting the recognition he deserves, with an awesome recent episode of “Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” and an upcoming “Jonah Hex” movie starring Josh Brolin. The better news is that Megan Fox plays a barely-dressed prostitute in the August 2010 film, and that sequels are in the works.

The bad news? Well, Megan is barely in “Jonah Hex.” In fact, when it comes to her role, she even went so far as to invoke the dreaded “c” word.

“It’s basically a cameo,” revealed Fox when we spoke with her recently. “She’s a twisted love-interest to Jonah’s character; my part’s pretty small.” Read more...

JLA: Year OneWhen DC Comics rebooted much of its continuity in 1986, it became a priority to re-establish the origins and early days of several characters. Various story arcs and miniseries came out these revised, older takes on character histories, making them fresh for a new audience and surprising for older fans. The most successful of these revised origins was a story called “Batman: Year One” by "Sin City" creator Frank Miller.

Since then, the term “Year One” has been used for many other DC characters and the phrase is now synonymous with the term “secret origin.” With Jack Black and Michael Cera having their own "Year One" adventure in theaters this weekend, here’s a list of several “year one”-type comic book stories that we recommend for your reading pleasure. 100 BulletsThis week was a bit slow as far as the arrival of comics and other swag, but what did arrive was either very quirky or of the must-read variety. And as far as hauls go, that's not a bad thing at all. Here's a photo of some of the highlights from this week's Swag Report arrivals, along with some notes about each of item.

"100 Bullets: Wilt" -- Yet another reminder that I'm woefully behind on a few series that I've heard nothing but great things about, the 13th (and final) volume of Brian Azzarello's brilliant (I'm told) crime series hits shelves in early July. I haven't read a single issue of this one, and that's a real shame, because I've heard amazing things about this story from start to finish. Receiving this volume is going to force me to pick up the first 12 -- which isn't a bad thing at all.

"100 Bullets: Wilt" hits shelves July 8. Read more...
