A few weeks back Splash Page reported that "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" star Neil Patrick Harris would be portraying a music-themed villain in an episode of Cartoon Network's "Batman: The Brave and the Bold." While the idea of a crooning caped crusader might have initially caught some off guard, new details regarding the episode's San Diego Comic-Con International premiere promise a roundtable discussion regarding the more melodic side of Batman.
In "Mayhem of the Music Meister" Harris voices the titular antagonist (pictured below), who seeks to conquer the world through song. The Music Meister is a brand new character created for the kid-friendly series, presenting Batman with his first real opportunity to sing since a 2004 episode of "Justice League Unlimited."

Decked out in a green, music-themed zoot suit and brandishing a "Jetsons"-era cane, the Music Meister's lavish fashions and offbeat antics make him just the latest in a series of eccentric villains that's included the likes of Crazy Quilt and Bat-Mite.
While Harris himself isn't scheduled to appear at the panel, between Diedrich Bader (Batman) and John DiMaggio (Aqua Man, Bender from "Futurama") fans will have plenty to keep them occupied. Joining the voice actors for a question and answer session will be "Brave and the Bold" executive producer Sam Register, producer James Tucker, producer and story editor Michael Jelenic and voice director Andrea Romano -- all of whom are alum from at least one other animated DC Comics project.
No word yet on just what the Music Meister's tunes will sound like, but with Harris at the helm, it's hard to imagine a score not worth having stuck in one's head.
The panel takes place Friday, July 24 at 10 a.m. PST.
