It might take a while for "Super Max" to come to fruition, but that doesn't mean you can't get your live-action Green Arrow fix anywhere else -- in fact, all it takes is a trip to Clark Kent's hometown.
Justin Hartley plays Oliver Queen, the budding Green Arrow, on The CW's "Smallville." As the show enters its ninth season -- rumored by some to be its last -- many are wondering how much longer the series can go on for. According to Hartley, speculation on the show's conclusion is premature at this stage. In fact the actor told Sci Fi Wire that the series could even last up to eight more seasons.
"Look, [the producers are] so busy right now, they don't know if they're doing one more season or eight more seasons or two more seasons," Hartley told the website. "They have no idea. So we'll see. I've spoken to them a couple weeks ago and had kind of a vague conversation with them about concept and stuff."
The on-screen Ollie Queen isn't exactly sure what his role will entail for this latest season of "Smallville," though it sounds like trouble's ahead for the eagle-eyed vigilante.
"I know there's a couple of saves gone awry," he revealed. "I think Oliver might be drinking again, which is always fun to play. So we'll see what happens. I'll leave that up to the brain trust."
Recently, it was announced that Brian Austin Green and Callum Blue would play Metallo and General Zod on the new season of "Smallville," respectively. At this point, Hartley isn't sure if his character will face off against either of them -- but he's certainly itching for a fight.
"I hope so," said the actor. "I always like to work with new actors. We just got this guy. I guess they hired a gentleman a couple days ago, so hopefully. We'll see what happens."
How many seasons do you think "Smallville" should continue for? Would you like to see Green Arrow go up against Metallo or Zod?
