While Wednesday is generally the most important day of the week in the comic book scene, there's no arguing that Thursday has carved out an important niche for itself as the day when fans discuss the week's offerings and conduct a post-mortem on their pull lists.
To that end, I decided to poll readers following Splash Page on Twitter today about their favorite issues of the week. The response was pretty impressive, so I decided to post a selection of those responses here on the site in order to open up the discussion to the non-Twittering masses, too. (Heck, at this rate, this is likely to become a weekly feature.)
Feel free to add your own thoughts to the mix, but remember: I'm asking for your favorite comics of the week, so let's focus on the positive!
Here are some of Splash Page readers' favorite comics this week:
- @monstrxsquad: Green Lantern #43: Prologue to The Blackest Night
- @shutupimtalking: DC's Wednesday Comics and Dark Horse's PIXU. Lemire's The Nobody too.
- @mdnytecartunr: World of New Krypton continues to impress, GL was an awesome intro to Black Hand, and Weds. Comics was amazing.
- @Knippenberg: Wednesday Comics #1 and Green Lantern #43 (prelude to Blackest Night)
- @davepress: THE NOBODY by Jeff Lemire.
- @tombness: Green Lantern 43 and Bad Kids go to hell.
So, there you have it! Feel free to let me know what your favorite comics were this week in the comment section!
