Scott PilgrimAfter months of filming and daily updates, "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" has finally finished the game—or, more accurately, it's beaten one level and is moving onto the next.

"Today... 'Scott Pilgrim Vs The World'... WRAPS principal photography," Bryan Lee O'Malley, creator of the "Scott Pilgrim" comic book series, wrote on Twitter this morning. "Wherever you are, give them a round of applause!"

Even if you're not a longtime fan of "Scott Pilgrim" (which you should be, so shame on you if you're not!), you have to admire how inviting the Edgar Wright-directed production has been thanks to the many video blogs featuring Wright, Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and the rest of the film's cast. Back in June, we told you about Bluewater Productions' plans to publish the comic book biography "Tribute: Michael Jackson, King Of Pop." Now, we have your first look at the comic, which will chronicle the entertainer's life and many contributions to music and pop culture.

Click on the image below for a five-page preview of "Tribute: Michael Jackson, King Of Pop," which hits shelves in October and features a wraparound cover and forward by Giuseppe Mazzola, a member of "The Official Michael Jackson Fan Club" and a personal friend of the musician. Wey-Yuih Loh ("Political Power: Colin Powell") and Giovanni Timpano ("Vincent Price Presents") will write and illustrate the book, respectively.

According to Bluewater president Darren G. Davis, "Tribute" will be a 24-page comic that will also include a "special section we are working on with Golden Apple Comics, the store Michael Jackson shopped at for the last 20 years." Read More...

Brandon Routh as SupermanJust because Brandon Routh isn't scheduled to return to blue and red tights anytime soon doesn't mean the former Superman hasn't picked up his share of new skills.

In addition to his roles as nightmare investigator Dylan Dog in the upcoming "Dead Of Night," as well as evil, vegan-powered rocker Todd Ingram in "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" the actor will now allegedly be able to add spy skills to his resume on the upcoming third season of NBC's "Chuck."

According to EW.com's Ausiello Files, Routh will appear in a multi-episode story arc beginning with the fourth episode of the upcoming season. Read More...

SinestroEver feel like you could come up with the perfect superhero dream cast if only you had the right Hollywood connections? Me too! In SECRET IDENTITY, Splash Page's latest weekly column, I'll pick a certain comic book character and suggest a handful of actors that could play the part, or I'll look at a certain actor and suggest which characters they should bring to the screen. And if my dream casting ever works out, I'll be the first to say I told you so! -JW

Now that Ryan Reynolds has scored the plum role of Hal Jordan, it's worth wondering how the rest of the "Green Lantern" cast will shake out. While his presence in the film isn't officially known, it's very likely that Sinestro—Jordan's former mentor turned nemesis—could play a role in the movie.

Assuming Sinestro is headed for "Green Lantern's" space sector, here are five actors that would do the part justice: Read More...

Every now and then, some images pop up on the wire that demand to be shared. I have to admit, a batch of recent photographs featuring Hugh Jackman as his "Wolverine" alter ego had me doing the ol' double-take once I realized that the clawed mutant in the photos is actually, well... made of wax.

Go ahead and see for yourself (click on the image below for more photos of the wax Wolverine):

Wax Wolverine Hugh Jackman

Attendees at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego might recognize the wax version of Jackman as Wolverine, as the statue made its debut at the massive convention back in July. According to the photos, it's now receiving a last-minute makeover before heading off to its final destination: Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in Hollywood.

For more information on the statue, head over to Madame Tussaud's website.

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies"Superman/Batman: Public Enemies," the latest animated feature to fly out of the pages of DC Comics, brings DCU faces from Metallo to Black Lighting onto the screen to star alongside its two title heroes. The story also centers around one of the publisher's most infamous villains—and his rise to the White House.

Veteran animation writer Stan Berkowitz relished the chance to tackle that material—particularly when it came to crafting its political environment, where he predicted U.S. President Barack Obama's Democratic victory, even if he failed to envision the current financial crisis.

"I didn't quite predict the catastrophe we'd be seeing in 2008," said Berkowitz. "But I figured that something bad would happen, and then Democrats would be elected in 2008, they wouldn’t be able to solve the problem and, in 2012, a tough, Ross Perot-style third party bid would be the one who'd be elected." MagdalenaLast we heard from the "Magdalena" camp, the upcoming adaptation of the Top Cow property had landed "Midnight Meat Train" director Ryûhei Kitamura to helm the project, with "The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations" writer Holly Brix penning the screenplay.

Chronicling the adventures of a direct descendant of Mary Magdalene who protects the world against evil using a variety of supernatural powers, "Magdalena" already has its stars in "Step Up" actress Jenna Dewan (playing the heroine, Patience) and "Hellboy II" actor Luke Goss (playing Patience's mentor, Kristof). Last year, we featured a week of video interviews with Dewan (we've embedded some of them in this post), and now we thought we'd check in with the new "Magdalena" writer to see where the project's at these days—and where she's planning to take it.

MTV: Where is the film at right now? Where are you in the process?

HOLLY BRIX: Right now, we're working out a deal so that I can start writing. We're not at the beginning of the process, but we're just going to script. Read More...

Mike McMillianThe stars of "True Blood" and the comic book community have intersected in many ways—not the least of which is Anna Paquin's role as Rogue in the "X-Men" movies and Stephen Moyer's upcoming turn in the live-action adaptation of "Priest. But one recently announced connection could be the most unusual of them all.

As part of "Heroes" actor Zachary Quinto's new relationship with Archaia Studios Press, "True Blood" actor Mike McMillian will write a new creator-owned comic book series for the publisher titled "Lucid."

McMillian, a longtime friend and colleague of Quinto's, plays the god-fearing and vampire-hating Reverend Steve Newlin on the HBO series—but in real life, McMillian is simply a fan of comics. Read More...

As you can probably tell from from this week's coverage of "Batman: Arkham Asylum," Splash Page's love of video games is second only to Multiplayer around MTV HQ. In that spirit of mutual adoration, it's only right to fill in fans on some of latest-gen consoles capable of transcending comic book boundaries with readable material—in the UK, the US, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, at least.

Comics on PSP

PSP: Starting later this year the PlayStation Portable and its slimmer new PSP Go counterpart will be able to access and store titles from Marvel Comics, IDW and other publishers through the device's online PlayStation Store. Users will be able to read the comics via Sony's digital reader service.

Right now, the interface is slated to fit full-page and panel-by-panel viewing, giving it an advantage over other devices with similar screen sizes. Read More...
