Titan MaximumAll-star chance run-ins on Twitter abounded this weekend. The first occurred when Geoff Johns and a handful of other comics notables descended on the premiere party for Adult Swim's "Titan Maximum." Lando Calrissian himself was there, and the "Blackest Night" scribe got a personal introduction. Todd Nauck was also in attendance and tweeted a link to a T-shirt design he did for the new show.

In other face-to-face encounters news, Andy Diggle and Jock concluded their "Losers" set visit (filming has now wrapped, by the way), and their flight home to the U.K. was shared with Simon Pegg. This is extra coincidental, since Diggle tweeted Jock on his flight from the U.K. to see if he was on the same flight as Pegg.

Last week, "Incredible Hulk" star Edward Norton told us why he likes the idea of Marvel's green-skinned behemoth being the destructive force that forces Iron Man, Captain America and Thor to team up in "The Avengers."

However, while we had Norton talking about superheroes, we had to ask him yet another burning question on the minds of comic book movie fans: Will he be the one playing Bruce Banner when "Avengers" (or "Iron Man 2" or any of the other Marvel movies) come around?

"It's purely a function of time," said Norton. "It's always about just working things out on the schedule." Read More...

For many gamers, "Little Big Planet" was one of the most fun, addictive video games released last year. Now it's getting a little something extra to win over the hearts and minds of comic book fans, too.

Watchmen - Little Big Planet

According to game developers Media Molecule, a new "Watchmen" costume kit will be released this week for "Little Big Planet," allowing players to suit up their characters as one of four characters from Zack Snyder's big-screen adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' graphic novel. Included in the pack will be skins for Silk Spectre, Rorschach, Nite Owl and Ozymandias, as well as a bunch of "Watchmen"-related sticker sets for in-game decoration. Read More...

According to ICv2, Tokyopop will publish a full-color, 128-page graphic novel adaptation of "Shutter Island" based on the novel by Dennis Lehane. The comic was originally adapted for French publisher Casterman by artist Christian de Metter.

The Tokyopop-released English translation will hit shelves on January 5, 2010, with the Martin Scorsese-directed movie heading to theaters one month later on February 19. Read More...

Ryan ReynoldsAsked who he thought would be credited as the breakout performance in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," director Gavin Hood put his money on Ryan Reynolds.

The actor who already starred in "Van Wilder" and "Smokin' Aces" took a step to the side of Hugh Jackman's spotlight for his role as Deadpool in the movie, which hit stores on DVD and Blu-ray two weeks ago, but that part might have tipped his career favorably now that he has a Deadpool solo movie and the title role in "Green Lantern" awaiting him.

Hood points to Reynolds physical commitment to the role his success in the film. Read More...

VenomWith "Spider-Man 4" gearing up for production and two planned sequels beyond that, it's clear that Peter Parker is going to be on the big screen for many years to come—but how about his ferocious nemesis Venom?

It's no secret that Sony Pictures is working on a "Venom" adaptation, but little is known about the project beyond an allegedly important role for Stan Lee and a potential Carnage appearance.

What is known, however, is that a screenplay exists for the film and Sony is ready to get the symbiotic ball rolling. Read More...

Before she was a snarky, pregnant teenager in "Juno" or a roller derby star in "Whip It," actress Ellen Page was one of the X-Men.

Back in 2006, Page walked through walls as Kitty Pryde in "X-Men: The Last Stand." She famously fought the Juggernaut in the film's finale, but will she be back to play the fan-favorite character in the next installment of the X-film franchise? MTV News caught up with Page during a press event for "Whip It" to ask her whether she'll reprise her role in any of the upcoming X-Men films—like, for instance, "X-Men: First Class." Read More...

Twitter - Scott PilgrimThree of the biggest comic book movies in Hollywood right now have prompted chatter on Twitter over the last 24 hours. Top Shelf publishers Chris Staros and Brett Warnock both attended the "Surrogates" premiere last night and snapped a few shots from the red carpet.

"Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" will be at the end of the red carpet soon enough, but first, Edgar Wright will have to finish editing the film. And thanks to Twitter, Bryan Lee O'Malley can gently inquire as the project approaches its finish line.

"The Losers" will be there too, and Andy Diggle posted an update regarding Zoe Saldana's hospitality and the Jock artwork used for an on-set chair. Check out all of that and more below in the Twitter Report for September 25, 2009. Read More...
