Iron Man 2It's been a big day for new images on the 'Net, but the biggest thus far just arrived online. Not only is the first official "Iron Man 2" poster now available online, but the image also gives us the first official look at War Machine!

The new poster debuted exclusively at Yahoo Movies, and features both the familiar (though slightly upgraded) Iron Man armor, as well as the War Machine armor destined to be worn by Don Cheadle's character, James "Rhodey" Rhodes. It also offers the simple tagline "2" instead of the film's full title.

For those who weren't able to attend this year's "Iron Man 2" panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego, this is the first official look at War Machine — and fans will be happy to note how similar it looks to its comic book counterpart (even down to the shoulder-mounted weaponry). Read more...

Jonah HexEarlier today we posted some new photos from the live-action adaptation of "The Losers," and now we have a new "Jonah Hex" image popping up online, too.

As with the "Losers" pics, the new "Jonah Hex" promo image popped up on Omelete this weekend. It looks to be promotional shot for the film, and features Josh Brolin looking appropriately grim and gritty as the scarred ex-confederate bounty hunter.

The new "Hex" image is certainly a welcome break in the long period of silence surrounding the project, which has provided few details about the film and only a small collection of images — official and otherwise.

WolverineIf you're anything like me, there are very few deals enticing enough to brave the Black Friday crowds at various retailers. (In fact, the image at right is what comes to mind when I think about what awaits me at stores' Black Friday sales.) Heck, with the amount of Cyber Monday offers flying around the 'Net today, you no longer have to leave your desk to snag a good price on various comics and comics-related swag.

After spending the first half of the day crawling through the Interwebs and getting suggestions from Splash Page readers about their favorite Cyber Monday comics deals, I've compiled a list of some of the most notable deals I've discovered from the comics side of Cyber Monday madness. From best-selling comics and comic book collections to digital comics, movies, games and assorted merch, it's great to be a comics fan this Cyber Monday.

Ryan ReynoldsLast week, we explained why "Deadpool" and "Green Lantern" actor Ryan Reynolds is one of the actors we're thankful for this year around MTV HQ. In fact, he's the actor we're most thankful for this year — and not just because he shared more details with us about the pair of upcoming, much-anticipated comic book movies he's starring in soon. (Though that was certainly an added bonus!)

After offering up some thoughts about Green Lantern's costume, Reynolds told MTV News that the scenes in which Hal Jordan isn't in costume will likely be the most memorable from the film — much like Robert Downey Jr.'s time spent out of Tony Stark's armor in "Iron Man."

"I think you walk away from this first film, and the moments that you remember and the moments that mean so much to you, not unlike 'Iron Man,' are the moments where the guy's not in the suit," said Reynolds. Read more...

DESCNot long ago, Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Joe Quesada and writer Brian Michael Bendis gushed about their excursion to the set of "Thor," the Kenneth Branagh-directed superhero movie filming in January.

Despite the creative duo's enthusiasm, however, it's difficult for some fans to imagine how the fantasy-based "Thor" will align with the more realistic universe established in Jon Favreau's "Iron Man" films. But according to Quesada, those worriers should cast aside any doubts in "Thor," as the film promises to overhaul the superhero genre entirely.

Ninja AssassinThe comics Twitterverse was still lining up for "Ninja Assassin" this Thanksgiving weekend — save Rob Liefeld, who caught "The Blind Side." Brian Michael Bendis, meanwhile, was caught searching for his "Star Trek" DVD, which he claims has been stolen by Mike Oeming.

Some great artwork showed up in the Twitter Report feed over the weekend as well, with Francis Manapul posting a page from a charity book he's contributing to help flood victims in the Philippines and Jill Thompson showing off her "Nightmare Before Christmas" pages. Check those out, along with Chris Onstad's eulogy for Tiger Woods' Escalade and a shot of Dave McKean signing with David Lloyd and Mark Buckingham.

The LosersWhile we were throttled down for the Thanksgiving holiday here in the U.S., bunches of news was hitting the wire about director Sylvain's White's upcoming adaptation of "The Losers."

Along with a pair of new photos that debuted on Omelete featuring much of the film's the all-star cast and a solo shot of "Star Trek" and "Avatar" actress Zoe Saldana as the team's resident loose cannon, Aisha, the online world also received some thoughts about the film from one of its most prominent stars, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, courtesy of a FilmInk interview.

"I've been hurt since Day One," said Morgan of the bruising (literally) experience of playing Clay, the leader of the left-for-dead special ops team out to find the agent who wronged them. "I'm getting a little old for bouncing off the pavement. Some stuff is hard when you're forty — but there's nothing that I can't recover from." Read more...

SmallvilleThere's been a lot of buzz surrounding the upcoming two-part "Smallville" arc "Absolute Justice" — and not just because of the involvement of comics scribe Geoff Johns. Along with introducing Michael Shanks as Hawkman, the story will also debut a few more members of DC's Justice Society of America: Doctor Fate (Brent Stait) and Stargirl (Britt Irvin).

And now Entertainment Weekly offers our first images of the JSA trio in costume — including the expected showdown between Hawkman and Green Arrow, who never did see eye-to-eye in the comics world. Read more...

Ghost RiderNicolas Cage’s 2007 hit “Ghost Rider” may have made $115 million, but two years later it seems to be existing in that same state of Hollywood limbo as barely-blockbusters like “The Sum of All Fears,” “Hairspray,” or “The Italian Job” — sequel rumors pop up, but there’s some doubt whether one would cement a bigger “Bourne”-like box-office increase, or a “Tomb Raider”-esque over-anticipation of demand. And despite reports of movement on David Goyer's "Ghost Rider" sequel script, Cage says he’s the wrong person to ask these days for updates.

“You probably know more about it then I do,” laughed the veteran actor when asked about the project. “What have you read?"

Cage said he hadn’t heard anything about Goyer's sequel — which is set 10 years after the first film — and is afraid to comment on his future with the character these days. Read more...
