Brace yourselves, Spider-fans: We have our first official pitch for the new Peter Parker.
At last night's red carpet for the National Board of Review, "Weeds" star Hunter Parrish threw his hat into the reboot ring, telling MTV News he's got the right stuff to bring your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man to the big screen.
"I hear Spider-Man is up for grabs, so I'm going to go for that one," he said.
When asked if he had what it takes to play a teenage Peter Parker, Parrish grabbed MTV Movies Editor Joshua Horowitz's glasses, put them on and made his pitch for the role.
"Look at me!" he laughed. "Come on, look! Peter Parker! Spider-Man!"
While Parrish wasn't among our original list of actors who could play Peter Parker in the new "Spider-Man," it seems like he could be a worthwhile addition to the pool of potential bookworms-turned-superheroes. What do you think?
