Perhaps one of the most iconic images from 2005's "Sin City" was that shot of Jessica Alba, lasso in hand, frozen mid-gyration in her role as Nancy Callahan, the exotic dancer with a heart of gold. While the character's most prominent part in Frank Miller's "Sin City" tales has already been told in the story "That Yellow Bastard," she does appear in many of the other stories — including one or two mentioned as potential "Sin City 2" source material.
So, when we caught up with Alba to discuss her role in the upcoming film "Valentine's Day," we had to ask if we'd see more of Nancy in future films.
"I've never read a script, no," Alba told MTV News when asked about the rumors of a "Sin City 2" script making the rounds.
Even so, Alba said she'd be more than willing to reprise the role — especially given her friendship with "Sin City" director Robert Rodriguez (who shared credit on the film with Miller).
"We talk all the time," she said of Rodriguez. "He's really a dear friend of mine, and I'd do anything for him. Collaborating with him on this movie was so much fun."
"He knows how to portray very powerful women," she added. "It was cool. It had humor and it was sexy and it was action-packed. There's nothing like a Robert Rodriguez movie."
