Sure, we know about Mark Millar's plans to direct a mysterious superhero movie, and we've heard about the "Kick-Ass" sequel (titled "Balls to the Wall"), but now it looks like we have another project on the horizon from Millar and director Matthew Vaughn.

The surprise? It's not the long-rumored "American Jesus" adaptation or his upcoming, controversial superhero series "Nemesis."

"Matthew and I are going to do two new projects, and they'll be quite interesting for people who are looking for us to get together and do a big, widescreen superhero picture," Millar told MTV News during this weekend's South by Southwest Film Festival. Read More...

The Last AirbenderYou know, being the editor of Splash Page isn't all about free comic books and chats with Hollywood types, folks — sometimes it's even cooler than that. Case in point: last week's brunch with "The Last Airbender" director M. Night Shyamalan.

On Thursday morning, the celebrated filmmaker sat down with a select group of news outlets for a friendly, frank discussion of his upcoming live-action adaptation of the hit Nickelodeon animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender." Scheduled to hit theaters July 2, the film is the first chapter in a three-part story that has the "Sixth Sense" director tackling his first big-budget, effects-driven adventure.

Shyamalan took a break from post-production tweaking to discuss all things "Airbender" with our small group, and while the video will be posted soon, I can offer you a quick peek at what the conversation covered — after all, you provided some of the questions! Read More...

Felicia DayWith prominent roles in Joss Whedon's television series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and his online musical "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog," actress Felicia Day already has a lot of fans — but for many people (myself included), it's her ongoing web series "The Guild" that first won her a place of honor in our geeky little hearts.

Chronicling the adventures of gamer Cyd Sherman as she navigates the troubled waters of real-life drama and relationships in both the online and offline worlds, "The Guild" has been described as a "love letter to gaming." Day stars, writes and produces the award-winning web series, which recently saw its third season released on DVD.

And now she's bringing it to the comic book world.

MTV News caught up with the hardworking actress/filmmaker to chat about the upcoming "The Guild" comic hitting shelves March 24 from Dark Horse Comics. Day wrote the script for the three-issue series, which will feature art by "Street Angel" creator Jim Rugg. Read More...

Kick-Ass - TwitterIf you live in Los Angeles and an earthquake woke you up this morning, you aren't alone. A lot of faces in the Twitter Report feed felt it too, including Rob Liefeld and "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" actor Mark Webber. However, "Scott Pilgrim" creator Bryan Lee O'Malley made a little earthquake of his own by posting a pixelated image that may be the cover to "Scott Pilgrim" vol. 6. It's way too blocky to tell for sure.

Read on for a Channing Tatum as Steve Rogers pitch, a couple of guys who went to a "Kick-Ass" screening last night, and info on what happens if you get stranded at an airport with Geoff Johns.

It's all in the Twitter Report for March 16th, 2010. Read More...

Repo MenThe upcoming film "Repo Men" takes place in a future in which highly advanced artificial organs are common and can be easily purchased. However, they are also very expensive and if you miss a payment, "Repo Men" will literally hunt you down and "repossess the organ."

Directed by Miguel Sapochnik and starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker as the titular "Repo Men," the film is scheduled hit theaters March 19. Apple.com has posted a "Repo Men" motion comic that serves as a brief primer for the world of the film.

The "Repo Men" Motion Comic features artwork by Marvel Artist Dennis Calero ("X-Men: Noir") and a script by Jimmy Palmiotti and "Repo Men" screenwriter Eric Garcia. Sapochnik also helmed the motion comic, with Jude Law reprising his role as Remy. Read More...

Jessica Alba talks to Robert Rodriguez "all the time" about "Sin City 2," and that's probably a good call, considering Rodriguez sounds like he could stand up and put the sequel together with Frank Miller at any moment. Speaking at the South By Southwest Film Festival, the "Sin City" co-director said he's waiting for the right time — but with a new script in hand, he doesn't want to wait all that long.

"It's only about timing," Rodriguez told MTV News. "It could happen very soon. It could happen a little later, It could happen even later. But probably sooner is better." Read More...

Channing TatumLast month, "Captain America" director Joe Johnston said casting of the title role was only weeks away and even suggested that the process would be completed before March 1st.

However, not only has Captain America not yet been cast, several actors have recently been added to Marvel Studios' shortlist, including — Chris Evans, Garrett Hedlund, Wilson Bethel and Mike Vogel. And before those rumors have even begun to cool down, another name has been added to the mix.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Channing Tatum has been officially approached by Marvel to star in "The First Avenger: Captain America." Tatum's star has been on the rise since last summer's "G.I. Joe" film in addition to his more recent movie "Dear John", which knocked "Avatar" out of first place earlier this year. Read More...
