Lee DeWyze, Crystal Bowersox and Bret Michaels grabbed a lot of attention on "American Idol" Wednesday night, and Michaels in particular gave an against-all-odds performance. That wasn't enough to win over Rob Liefeld and Erik Larsen in the end though, and they tweeted accordingly.
In other news, Chris Hastings tweeted a bit of a shocker with a story about his dog Commissioner Jim Gordon. Longtime Twitter Report followers may remember that his cute little Pomeranian was a finalist in cutest dog competition, but they hit a bit of a dramatic speed bump cashing their prize-money check, evidently. And speaking of endings, Gail Simone's wrapped her "Wonder Woman" run, and she posted some closing thoughts on the accomplishment. Check out what she said below along with Brian Michael Bendis' micro-review of the "Wednesday Comics" hardcover.
I'm @brianwarmoth, and it's all recorded in the Twitter Report for May 27, 2010.
"American Idol" pt. 1: @robertliefeld I freaking' love Brett Michaels! Great to see him ascend to new heights!
"American Idol" pt. 2: @robertliefeld Worst season of American Idol ever. They were all terrible. And this Lee kid is murdering "Beautiful Day". Oh the horror!
-Rob Liefeld, Writer/Artist ("X-Force," "Youngblood")
"American Idol" pt. 3: @ErikJLarsen @robertliefeld yeah--yikes--this year's American Idol blew. Jannie half watched and I saw just bits but saw the finale--sorry a-- winner.
