David Dunn may be unbreakable, but our fragile fanboy hearts are not. "Unbreakable" fans across the globe have long suffered waiting for news about a possible sequel to the 2000 superhero film. Recently, excitement built up to a fever pitch when it was revealed that M. Night Shyamalan will reunite with Bruce Willis for an unknown project.
But that project isn't "Unbreakable 2," sadly. In fact, it doesn't sound like an "Unbreakable" sequel is in the cards for the immediate future.
MTV News caught up with Shyamalan during a press junket for "The Last Airbender" and asked the filmmaker if he's given any further thought to continuing the tale of the unbreakable David Dunn. Shyamalan said he's not closed off to the idea of a sequel, but it's all a matter of finding the right story. Read more...

"The Last Airbender" makes its long-awaited debut in theaters tomorrow, and though you might already be familiar with the Nickelodeon animated series the film is based on, that wasn't the only source of inspiration for the live-action film.
In an interview with MTV News, director M. Night Shyamalan explained how Bruce Lee's 1973 classic "Enter The Dragon" inspired his favorite scene in "The Last Airbender."
"Sometimes you just see something and you go, 'Wow, this is just working out exactly perfectly,'" said Shyamalan. "The Master Pakku fight [was like that]." Read more...

So... Wonder Woman has a new costume (again).
As we reported earlier today, the DC heroine is getting a new look in today's issue of "Wonder Woman" #600, as designed by comics veteran and DC Comics Co-Publisher Jim Lee. And though this isn't the first time Wonder Woman's look received a redesign (and certainly won't be the last), it's caused a fair amount of debate around the comics world.
Thus far, the new costume hasn't been received very favorably by fans, and the iconic heroine's fashion sense has been attacked by all manner of critic, fan, and armchair pundit alike. But is the new costume really that bad? I want to hear from you! Read more...

While doubts were raised earlier this year regarding a potential follow-up to "Green Lantern: First Flight," it appears that "Green Lantern" is going to star in another animated film.
According to World's Finest Online, Warner Brothers Home Video has revealed that "Green Lantern: Emerald Knights" is on their upcoming slate of animated projects. The new animated film was hinted at earlier this month during the Cartoon Network upfronts that also announced the upcoming "Green Lantern" animated series.

Following the release of "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" later this summer, director Edgar Wright will presumably jump back to his other comic book movie, "Ant-Man."
And while Wright has primarily become known for his comedy films like "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz," the filmmaker insists that "Ant-Man" will not be a comedic send-up of other superhero films.
"What we wrote for the first draft, and what Marvel really liked, is that it's funny," Wright told Box Office Magazine. "But it's a genre film. It's about the level of comedy that 'Iron Man' has. The idea is to make a high-concept genre film where it's within another genre." Read more...

In the latest issue of "Wonder Woman," the title character undergoes some drastic alterations.
Wonder Woman's costume is being changed to reflect her new origin by the incoming creative team of J. Michael Straczynski and artist Don Kramer. The costume was designed by Jim Lee, one of the top comic artists in the industry who was also named co-publisher of DC Comics earlier this year.
[UPDATE: We want to know what you think of the new look, so go vote in our Wonder Woman costume poll!]
“She’s been locked into pretty much the exact same outfit since her debut in 1941,” Straczynski told the New York Times. “If you’re going to make a statement about bringing Wonder Woman into the 21st century, you need to be bold and you need to make it visual. I wanted to toughen her up, and give her a modern sensibility.” Read more...
