We've seen clips from "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World," images of the cast in costume, and even some footage from the extra-awesome "Scott Pilgrim" video game. But the one question everyone still wants to know is: Will it be anything like the books?

In an interview with MTV News, director Edgar Wright offered an answer to that very question, and described the collaborative process with "Scott Pilgrim" creator Bryan Lee O'Malley.

"We've worked very closely with the original author, Bryan Lee O'Malley," Wright told MTV News. "It's a different version of the story in a way, and we tried to structure it so it works more as a movie, and he's been very much involved in that process. In fact, on a couple of occasions, he's rewritten scenes that we've done, which is great." Read more...

Archie & FriendsNothing says "Archie & Friends" like big hair, fake tans, and... Wait, what?!

This July, Archie, Jughead, Betty, Veronica and the rest of the Riverdale gang embark on what could possibly be one of their most surreal adventures ever with a parody of — you guessed it — MTV's "The Jersey Shore." And while it's safe to assume the hot-tub hijinks will be toned down when the famous red-head and his crew star in their own beachfront reality show, one has to wonder what sort of situation Archie will get himself into this time around.

Heck, if the cover's any indication, the gang's already got their "Riverdale Shore" hair in full effect. Read more...

The LosersAndy Diggle's been doing some "Losers" work again, this time for a DVD commentary along with Vertigo collaborator Jock. Jimmy Palmiotti, meanwhile, gets to check out "Jonah Hex" tonight, according to his tweets. I'm guessing this week feels pretty good for all three of them.

For those of you saddened hear about the iPhone 4 problems yesterday, you may be encouraged to hear that both Brian Michael Bendis and Joshua Hale Fialkov managed to beat the system and get their orders placed. Find out more about their struggles, as well as who ate the last of Geoff Johns' Fruity Pebbles and what got Rick Rememder out of bed this morning.

When Megan Fox signed on to join the "Jonah Hex" cast last year, there was wild speculation about which character she would portray — especially after pictures of her in costume appeared online.

While Fox later explained that her character Lilah is a prostitute within the movie, she didn't elaborate on why the world's oldest profession was used as her vocation until MTV News asked her if playing a prostitute was a rite of passage for actresses.

"Everyone should do it at least once," joked Fox. "Unfortunately, this is not a spaghetti western, but it's a western and there were not really a lot of things that women did back then." Read more...

The Walking DeadWhile you can expect a full report from the set of "The Walking Dead" here on Splash Page in the near future, a few photos have found their way online that give a taste of what the upcoming television series has in store for viewers.

Posted over at Ain't It Cool News, the photos were captured by some local residents of Atlanta, GA, where the pilot episode is being filmed. In one of the images, we get a shot of Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) riding through the city streets on horseback, pursued by a horde of zombies. Fans of the comic book series should remember this scene well — and what's in store for Rick as he gets deeper into the city.

Another photo offers a great shot of writer/director Frank Darabont in action (that's him in the Hawaiian shirt) while his lead actor takes refuse from zombies inside a tank. (If the shot was just a little wider, you'd actually see me sitting in one of the chairs behind him, too.) Read more...

Blue BeetleEarlier this week, noted comic book scribe and DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns revealed that test footage had been filmed for a potential "Blue Beetle" live-action TV series.

And while Johns indicated at the time that he might bring the footage to Comic-Con next month, several screencaps from the test have already shown up online.

"First up is one of my personal favorites: a live-action screen test of Blue Beetle transforming and something we’re using in the hopes of bringing him to the small screen," wrote Johns on DC's Source Blog. "There was so much excitement when I mentioned this on Twitter I thought I’d share a little more information." Read more...

Nicolas CageBack in April, reports indicated that Columbia was willing to move forward on a "Ghost Rider" sequel without Nicolas Cage in the title role in order to avoid losing the rights back to Marvel and Disney. However, it now appears that Cage may return with a pair of new directors.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cage is in early negotiations to reprise his role as Johnny Blaze in “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.” Additionally, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor are also reportedly in negotiations to direct the film. Neveldine and Taylor may also do a rewrite of David Goyer's story, but that hasn't been determined at this point.

Neveldine and Taylor are best known for writing and directing both "Crank" and its sequel, "Crank: High Voltage." They also wrote the script for "Jonah Hex," which hits theaters on Friday. Read more...

MacheteWe've been following the development of Robert Rodriguez's fake-trailer-turned-feature-film "Machete" for a while now over on MTV Movies Blog, but the latest news regarding the film lands right in the middle of Splash Page territory, folks. Yes, "Machete" is getting a comic book.

Co-written by Rodriguez and his producing partner Aaron Kaufman, the comic leads into the the upcoming film and promises to give readers "the ultimate 'Mexploitation' tale of revenge" and an origin story of sorts for the film's title character (played by Danny Trejo). By now you've probably seen photos of Megan Fox in "Jonah Hex." If you haven't, well... you've probably been doing more important things than leering at photos of her in a corset, so I forgive you.

Nevertheless, when MTV News sat down with her during the press junket for "Hex," the actress shared some thoughts about her form-fitting (and painfully thinning) costume, which not only showed a lot of skin, but also gave her an 18-inch waist. (18 inches!)

"We got it down to 18 inches," she told MTV News. "But in the action scenes, we loosened it up, because everyone was afraid I would pass out if we had it that tight." Read more...
