Back in May, Columbia finally announced plans to go forward with "Men In Black 3" with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones after nearly eight years since "Men In Black 2." Josh Brolin ("Jonah Hex") and "Flight of the Conchords" star Jemaine Clement also joined the cast as a younger version of Jones' Agent K and a new villain named Yaz, respectively.
Although the movie isn't set to begin filming until August, several details about the film have potentially been revealed by Jo Blo; including a passage that describes Clement's Yaz as "a nightmare biker who looks like Dennis Hopper" who is "named after a side-effect prone brand of birth control."
The report also cites specific details about the plot of "Men In Black 3," so consider this your SPOILER ALERT before going on any further.
Confirming the time travel angle alluded to in earlier reports, the story revolves around Yaz going back to 1969 in order to kill Agent K, an action that results in the destruction of the Earth in the present. Smith's Agent J uses an Apple Store — which are revealed to be "secret time travel hubs" — to follow Yaz back in time and keep him from changing history.
The story also notes that while Brolin is in his '40s, he will be portraying K in his '20s. It also reveals that several celebrities of the era including Yoko Ono, Jimi Hendrix, Castro, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Andy Warhol are all secretly aliens, with Warhol actually aiding K and J in their mission.
It's unknown if the script reviewed by JoBlo is the original draft by Etan Cohen or a more recent rewrite by David Koepp. Presumably, some of the details could still be changed prior to start of filming.
"Men In Black 3" will neuralize movie-goers in 3-D on May 25, 2012.
