Well, it looks like I won't have to kill anyone to get my hands on Hasbro's fan-freakin'-tastic 19" Marvel Universe Galactus, because, well... guess what just showed up at Splash Page HQ?
Here's a hint: If you press a button on its chest, it announces things like, "Behold! The World-Eating Machine!" and "I Hunger!"
Here's another hint: I'm so happy that I might have wet my pants.
Too much information?
Well, if you haven't been following along at home (or just think I'm over-selling my reaction), read on for some photos MTV Movies Blog Editor Adam Rosenberg took as I shook hands with the power cosmic. They're embarrassing, sure — but it's GALACTUS THE WORLD DEVOURER, people!
So, yeah... I like to call this "Stage One Freak-Out." After all, the box could be empty...
Followed by Stage Two, otherwise known as, "Oh my god, this-box-is-not-empty-and-it-really-does-contain-a-massive-Galactus-that-talks-and-will-tower-over-all-the-other-toys-on-my-desk-just-like-I-wanted!!!"
The final stage? Well, that's best represented by a series of exclamation points and various other forms of punctuation. Words fail, and only the somewhat terrifying look of joy on my face does it justice.
The best part is that this wasn't the only Comic-Con 2010 toy that Hasbro sent over.
Click on the image below (or any of the images in this post) for close-up shots of all the Hasbro exclusives, as well as an ongoing gallery of more Comic-Con 2010 swag as we get our grubby little hands on it.
And remember: "So Speaks Galactus!"
If I haven't frightened you away, let me know what you think of Galactus and the rest of Hasbro's 2010 Comic-Con Exclusives in the comment section or on Twitter!
