We've touched down in San Diego for Comic-Con 2010, and look what's there to greet us: new posters for two of Marvel Studios' most-anticipated movies!

Premiering at San Diego's Comic-Con International this year, the new posters for "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger" offer some pretty dynamic images of the two characters destined to hit the big screen in their own solo films in 2011 — then again in 2012's team-up extravaganza "The Avengers." They're more concept art than actual screenshots from the film, but they're still all kinds of awesome.

30 Days of Night: Dark DaysA few weeks ago, we brought you the news that "30 Days of Night: Dark Days" — the sequel to David Slade's 2007 film "30 Days of Night" — was headed to shelves October 5 on DVD and Blu-Ray. Now we have some brand new images for you to checkout ahead of this weekend's premiere of the "Dark Days" trailer at Comic-Con, and some thoughts from one of the co-creators of the "30 Days" franchise in print and on the big screen.

Based on the celebrated horror comic created by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith, "Dark Days" picks up where the previous film left off, with actress Kiele Sanchez taking over the role of Stella Oleson previously played by Melissa George. Ben Ketai directs the new installment of the "30 Days" franchise, based on a script he co-wrote with Niles.

I spoke with Niles to get some thoughts on the next chapter in the "30 Days" universe and get a sneak peek at a few new shots from the film. Read more...

Yesterday, we brought you the first video from the set of "The Walking Dead," AMC's upcoming television series based on Robert Kirkman's celebrated comic book series. Now we have yet another video for you from the ravaged streets of downtown Atlanta, courtesy of the "Walking Dead" team.

This time around, it's makeup effects supervisor and zombie-movie veteran Greg Nicotero explaining how the comic book series influenced the look of the live-action living dead.

"We took a lot of our visual cues from the graphic novel," Nicotero told MTV News. "The sketches have them real gaunt, a lot of exposed teeth, and a couple specific characters [were inspired by] the graphic novel [and] the sketches they did." Read more...

Scott Pilgrim costumes"Scott Pilgrim Volume 6: Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour" went on sale last night at midnight, and the comics community in the Twitter Report feed was out in full force posting pics and reactions. Unfortunately, "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" director Edgar Wright didn't sound like he was able to be among them, but cosplayers galore were out at shops as something of a prelude to Comic-Con this week.

In other posting, "Inception" is still prompting reactions, and Jamal Igle, Kazu Kibuishi and Olivia Wilde have all weighed in now. Click on past the jump to find out which of them required yam fries to call down, as well as how a Scream Awards judge feels about Alan Moore's nomination and which writer is learning to play "Football Manager 2010."

The Dark KnightFROM MTV MOVIES: Early on in the "Inception" preproduction process, director Christopher Nolan and director of photography Wally Pfister had a conversation that dragged on for weeks: After shooting a portion of "The Dark Knight" in IMAX, would they also shoot their Leonardo DiCaprio-starring thriller in the large-scale film format?

"Finally I had to tell Chris that the way he was describing the film, so much of it wanted to be with a handheld camera and kind of running around," Pfister told MTV News. "That's just not physically possible with the IMAX camera. We ruled out shooting in IMAX."

Their thinking on how to shoot "Batman 3," however, might turn out to be vastly different. "I can't say until I read the script, but it would certainly be my preferred, amazing goal to shoot the whole movie in IMAX," Pfister said.

Ant-ManWith the full "The Avengers" roster rumored to be revealed at Comic-Con International in just a few short days, other rumors are heating up regarding which actors will occupy the currently unfilled roles. Edward Norton's departure has left Bruce Banner's purple pants up for grabs, for instance, with actor Mark Ruffalo the rumored frontrunner for the job.

But what about Hank Pym, the troubled scientist better known as Ant-Man? As the central figure of Edgar Wright's developing "Ant-Man" solo film for Marvel Studios, Pym is virtually locked for a seat on the Avengers' starting rotation when the film arrives in theaters in 2012. But who's going to play him?

Well, that depends on who you ask, as conflicting reports have emerged regarding one possible candidate: "Predators" star Adrien Brody. Read more...
