Sucker Punch impressionsTweeters in the feed haven't all figured out what they're seeing in the new trailer for Zack Snyder's "Sucker Punch," but they've definitely be cheering it on. Most gamers getting excited about "StarCraft 2" today, meanwhile, know what they're getting, even if it's going to impact their work schedules.

You can check out why Andy Diggle thinks "Sucker Punch" is like miniature Comic-Con, who's been waiting for "SC2" and why Kevin Smith wants to meet "Mad Men" creator Matthew Weiner after the jump. Such answers await along with Mark Waid's feelings about children, Jhonen Vasquez on casting an "Invader Zim" movie and a response to George Lopez dissing Comic-Con attendees.

Lex Luthor looked like a clear villain when he showed up in a trailer for "DCU Universe Online" during E3 in June, but a new glimpse titled "Who Do You Trust?" makes him look like he could be trying to save the world.

It also makes Superman look like he's faster than The Flash, which should be fun for DC readers to analyze. Read More...

The CrowEarlier this year, director Stephen Norrington said that his remake of "The Crow" would begin filming this summer. And while a lead actor has still not been announced, another screenwriter has potentially come on board the project.

According to The Wrap, "The Crow" producer Ed Pressman has indicated that Australian musician Nick Cave has been signed to rewrite the film. Cave has previously written the scripts for "Ghosts... of the Civil Dead" and "The Proposition," in addition to writing an unproduced "Gladiator" sequel at the behest of Russell Crowe and "The Promised Land," which is based upon the Matt Bondurant novel, "The Wettest County in the World."

Back in June, Pressman told MTV News that Norrington's screenplay for "The Crow" was both finished and "terrific." He also indicated that film was in the casting stage. Read More...

Joe the BarbarianGrant Morrison's newest Vertigo series, "Joe the Barbarian" is also his latest project to be optioned as a feature film.

According to Robot 6, Thunder Road Pictures — the producers behind the "Clash of the Titans" remake released earlier this year — are officially developing the adaptation of "Joe the Barbarian." "Thunder Road just called me today and said we can officially announce it, so I'm quite happy about that," said Morrison.

However, the report also indicates that Morrison will not write the screenplay. "Joe the Barbarian" debuted earlier this year as an eight issue miniseries by Morrison and artist Sean Murphy. The story follows a teenager named Joe who slips into a vivid fantasy world populated by his action figures and toy rats while he fights to stay alive in the real world after he slips into diabetic shock. One of the biggest reveals to occur during this year's Comic-Con was the first look at Chris Evans in his "Captain America" costume shown during Marvel's movie panel Saturday evening.

Marvel's teaser only gave us a brief look at Evans in the familiar red, white, and blue suit, so when we got some time to chat with the "Captain America" lead, we had to ask: how much more will we see him in costume during the film? [WARNING: Potential SPOILERS!]

"There's a couple stages [of the suit]," Evans told MTV News. "Initially in the script, Steve [Rogers] isn't Captain America right away. He gets the injection and isn't asked to go to war right off the bat, he's used in different areas and different facets. So he has a couple different stages of the suit. I don't think he jumps in the final suit until the third act of the film." Read More...

Fans won't have to wait for "The Avengers" to get another dose of Tony Stark in action, because an all-new "Iron Man" animated series is on the way alongside some other prominent Marvel superheroes.

As part of the Marvel Anime line, a wave of "Iron Man," "Wolverine," "X-Men" and "Blade" animated projects are headed to G4 in 2011, with each property receiving a 12-episode story arc created under the guidance of comic book scribe Warren Ellis.

According to the official press release, all four anime projects take the iconic Marvel characters to Asia. The "Iron Man" anime focuses on Tony Stark's development of a new arc reactor in Japan, while the "Wolverine" anime follows the Japanese story put forth by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont's celebrated comic book run. The "X-Men" anime also takes place in Japan, while the "Blade" series sees the vampire hunter searching for Deacon Frost in Vietnam. Read More...

Karl UrbanKarl Urban has made no secret that he's looking to become the law in the developing "Judge Dredd" movie, previously telling MTV News that his casting as the intimidating hero is "lookin' good." A self-described fan of the "Judge Dredd" franchise, Urban certainly has an opinion or two on how to make the character work on the big screen — something that didn't quite pan out for Sylvester Stallone's take on the character, in Urban's opinion.

Speaking with Movieline, Urban revealed that the developing "Judge Dredd" reboot would be "100% faithful to the source material" created by John Wagner, Carlos Ezquerra and Pat Mills for 2000AD.

"I can tell you that in no way, shape or form is it related to any other movie that's come out called 'Judge Dredd,'" Urban said, referring to Stallone's 1995 action film. "I feel most happy for fans of 'Dredd' who are finally going to get the 'Dredd' movie they so richly deserve." Read More...

Green LanternThose who were lucky enough to attend the "Green Lantern" panel at Comic-Con last week already got a good glimpse at Hal Jordan's star-spanning adventures as the defender of Space Sector 2814 — but the rest of us have some nice posters to look at, too.

Four new posters from "Green Lantern" have premiered online, providing fans with their first look at actor Mark Strong as Sinestro, the purple-skinned and mustached alien mentor to Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan.

Also revealed are Reynolds as Hal, Blake Lively as love interest Carol Ferris and Peter Sarsgaard as the big brained Hector Hammond, one of the film's central villains. Read More...

Comic-Con reactionsWhatever swag you may have grabbed at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, it probably wasn't as cool as the gift Brian Michael Bendis received. He and a good chunk of the entertainment industry departed the San Diego Convention Center Sunday. David Petersen snagged an impressive Duncan Fegrado Harry Potter commission. Nathan Fillion felt sentimental. And Jimmy Palmiotti sounded like he had a good time, but he didn't feel like he was at a comic book show.

Those who made it home in time got to catch the premiere of "Mad Men" Season 4. Neil Kleid, for one, was grateful for that. Stan Lee, meanwhile, is looking ahead to his "Entourage" guest appearance. Find out exactly when that will be after the jump, along with a critique of "Inspector Gadget" and what Ron Marz doesn't know about the future of CrossGen properties at Marvel.

"The Goon" may not have full funding yet, but that didn't stop David Fincher from getting behind his animated film adaptation of Eric Powell's quirky horror/noir series. The "Fight Club" and "Social Network" director admitted that 2010 marked his first trip San Diego for Comic-Con International, but he hopes the trip will prove worthwhile and result in financial backing to get the project completed and out to audiences.

"It doesn't make any sense to make a movie that people say, 'We can't sell this,' so it should find a place where people go, 'We understand how to get this to theaters,'" Fincher told MTV News. Read More...
