Director Scott Stewart has spoken highly of the "Twilight" and "True Blood" cast members he assembled for the adaptation of Hyung Min-Woo's "Priest." Together with his co-stars Maggie Q and Karl Urban at San Diego Comic-Con this week, Cam Gigandet returned the compliment, even if Stewart's direction proved to be challenging on occasion.

"The world Scott created is kind of unlike any other," Gigandet told MTV News. "Sometimes it was hard to visualize what he had in his mind, but I've seen clips, and its unbelievable. ... Just to work with all of these people, they're such an amazing cast. I didn't have any doubts [about taking on another vampire-related role]." Read More...

PriestBy Ryan J Downey

The panel for "Priest," the first Tokyo Pop graphic novel to be given the film treatment, boasted exclusive footage of the post apocalyptic vampire movie, which features a pair of vampires from "True Blood" and "Twilight."

Here's a moment-by-moment report:

4:18
Director Scott Stewart takes the stage and asks the crowd to get out their 3D glasses as he introduced exclusive Comic-Con footage that will not be released elsewhere anytime soon.

4:22
Cam Gigandet, Stephen Moyer, Karl Urban, Maggie Q and Priest himself, Paul Bettany, join Stewart on stage. Urban's introduction gets the biggest response.

4:23
Bettany said he had a "rapport" and a "shorthand" pretty immediately when they started working on "Legion." He loved working on "Priest" with him especially because the budget was bigger which allowed for more "grandeur." Read More...

Robert Rodriguez surely has many more San Diego Comic-Con memories left to be made in his career, perhaps even one or two involving a Deadpool movie. The "Machete" director made a trip to Comic-Con International this year for for a film that's turning into a comic book, rather than vice versa, but "Sin City" holds a special place in his heart to this day when it comes to landmark events at the show.

"Probably the first treasured memory is my first big presentation — was coming here with a piece no one had seen that I had cut together myself comparing the footage to the comic of 'Sin City' and showing that to an audience and telling the whole story of how we did it and making these little mini-posters out of our own studio that we had our actors sign," Rodriguez told MTV News, "and that iconic Jessica Alba one was the one that was then selling the next week on eBay for hundreds and hundreds of dollars." That's me with "Red" actresses Helen Mirren (left) and Mary-Louise Parker (right). Take note of Mirren's shirt, folks — she was wearing a great "R.I.P. Comic-Con LeiasWell-known protest signs from the Westboro Baptist Church arrived at San Diego Comic-Con this week, and both Gail Simone and Ben Templesmith reacted to their anti-SDCC messages via Twitter. If debauchery was on on their list of gripes, they probably needed to look no further than the G4 party, which Nathan Fillion was keeping an eye on.

Elsewhere, Jon Favreau was still gearing up for his Comic-Con arrival, and it sounds like he's going to be tired. Find out why after the jump alongside a spiffy Olivier Coipel Red Sonja sketch and a look at Dan Slott taking a video game break.
