"Red" has arrived at Comic-Con, and along with talking to Bruce Willis on the first of our MTV/MySpace Live Shows, we also managed to snag some time with "Red" comic creators Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner. I brought them by Splash Page HQ to chat about the film, the comic, and where the two projects meet... and where they diverge.
In this segment from our interview (don't worry — there's a lot more coming from both creators), I ask Ellis how he thinks the much-discussed differences from the comic will affect the film's source material, and whether it's a good or bad thing when audiences come into a film aware of such differences.
"I think that remains to be seen," said Ellis. "I think that anyone who watches the film and reads the book will quite clearly be able to see the book within the film — it's there at the core." Read More...
