A couple of comics luminaries fulfilled their dreams this week, as Brian Michael Bendis was recognized for calling in to Howard Stern's show and Bill Amend announced that he has completed the campaign mode in "StarCraft 2." Elsewhere, "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" continued to win over movie-goers, even if it didn't win in the weekend's box office rankings.
Accomplishments in creativity were recorded, too, as Mark Millar received something impressive from Leinil Yu and Simon Spurrier wedged something unique into a Marvel story he's been working on. Find out what that was after the jump along with a belated "Inception" appraisal.

@billamend Just finished the SC2 campaign mode. Pretty epic cinematics on those last few missions.

@BRIANMBENDIS My call in to the Howard Stern fast food show seems to have officially cemented me a stern super fan by the Internet intelligentsia.
-Brian Michael Bendis, Writer ("New Avengers," "Ultimate Spider-Man")
@mrmarkmillar @leinilyu has drawn the best picture of a space station ever for Superior. All other pics of space stations now officially disappointing.

@BenMcCool Oh, I *finally* saw INCEPTION. Remarkable filmmaking, absolutely loved it. I shudder to think how many hours went into nailing that script!
-Ben McCool, Writer ("Choker," "Captain America and the Korvac Saga")
"Scott Pilgrim" pt. 1: @claudioPsanchez Scott Pilgrim was super fun. Jetlaggin' not so fun.
-Claudio Sanchez, Writer ("The Amory Wars")
"Scott Pilgrim" pt. 2: @theramonperez The characters in Expendables had more depth and held my interest more than the ones in Scott Pilgrim.
-Ramón Pérez, Writer/Artist ("Kukuburi," "Dazzler")
"Scott Pilgrim" pt. 3: @HackinTimSeeley By the way, if "Vampires Suck" makes more than "Scott Pilgrim". I'm swearing off the cinema for the rest of the year.
-Tim Seeley, Writer/Artist ("Hack/Slash," "WildCats")
@PiaGuerra Movie preview for new Shyamalan film Devil filled the theater with laughter and groans. Not a good sign.
-Pia Guerra, Artist ("Y: The Last Man," "Doctor Who: The Forgotten")
@sispurrier I have successfully written a Retarded Nazisaur into a Marvel Comic. Kill me now, my apotheosis is past.

Parting Wisdom for the Day:
@BrianLynch Years from now, we're going to be able to tell our kids where we were when we heard SCOTT PILGRIM wasn't a blockbuster.
-Brian Lynch, Writer ("Angel: After the Fall," "Monkey Man Unleashed")
