It's no secret that I'm a big fan of "Batman: Arkham Asylum," last year's ridiculously cool, wonderfully faithful video game that had Gotham's Dark Knight brawling his way through a long list of new and classic villains. And since I know I wasn't alone, it's not surprising that a sequel, "Batman: Arkham City," is on the way.
What is surprising, however, is the batch of new "Arkham City" images that popped up online recently. For example, this one:
Yes, that's Catwoman and Two-Face having a moment in the above shot, and judging by the characters' recurring presence in the remaining images, they're both likely to play a major role in the game. The same goes for Harley Quinn, too.
Along with some new shots of the the aforementioned characters, the pics also provide a look at some of the elements of the first game that will be back for the sequel. It looks like "Detective Mode" is back, as well as some of the great gadgets Batman used during Arkham Asylum adventure.
I've posted a few of my favorite images here, but you can check them all out over at MTV's gaming blog, Multiplayer.
