Darren Aronofsky is not directing "Wolverine 2."
Oh, don't break out the Kleenex just yet — I'm just overexaggerating. Yes, Aronofsky is still attached to Hugh Jackman's second shot at a "Wolverine" solo title, but the film won't be called "Wolverine 2" as many have anticipated over the past several months. Instead, Aronofsky's film is simply titled "The Wolverine."
The "Black Swan" director spoke with Hit Fix and confirmed the new title, insisting that there won't be a number attached to his "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" sequel. Story: At long last, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is free and clear of Atlanta and in the loving arms of his wife Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) and son Carl (Chandler Riggs). But not everyone is happy to see Rick home safe and sound, as his former police officer partner Shane (Jon Bernthal) takes out some aggression on one of his fellow survivors.
