The final season of "Smallville" stops to take a breather this month, leaving fans to wonder a little longer about what happened to Clark Kent and the rest of the series' superheroes after last week's tragic, episode-ending cliffhanger.
Thankfully, The CW has released a teaser for the next episode, "Collateral," which should provide a few hints about the status of Clark (Tom Welling), Oliver Queen (Justin Hartley), and the rest of their team. Oh, and from what we can tell, it looks like fan-favorite character Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack) will finally make her return to "Smallville," too.
From the looks of things, Clark and Oliver won't be the only DC characters in the spotlight when the series returns January 28.
The new teaser also offers glimpses of Deadshot, Rick Flagg, Black Canary, and a few other "Smallville" versions of DC's heroes and villains. With just under a month to go until the series returns, it looks like "Smallville" plans to reward fans' patience with a cameo-filled adventure.
The next "Smallville" will air Friday, January 28, at 8 PM Eastern on The CW.
