A teaser trailer for Michael Bay's third "Transformers" movie debuted online today, and it offers a pretty good indication why the film is titled "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon."

Apparently, our speculation that it had something to do with Pink Floyd was a little off. Read more...

DreddWe’ve seen Karl Urban scowl from under Judge Dredd’s formidable helmet, but when it comes to updates on "Dredd"—the film reboot of publisher 2000 AD’s popular, ultraviolent future cop, time’s favor lies squarely on the other side of the pond. British audiences will naturally be the first to see new footage, new set pieces, and whatever news pops up to behold.

That’s why, when we get the opportunity to spy on some snaps from the set of “Dredd” we won't pass up the chance.

Bleeding Cool revealed, via a member of its forums, 10 shots from the Cape Town, South Africa set, including armored trucks, threatening government surveillance signs and the most heavily fortified snack stand outside of Manhattan. Read more...

Wonder WomanReports that David E. Kelley is working on a "Wonder Woman" television series aren't false, but there's something else to consider as well: Kelley himself isn't sure that he's the best fit for the property.

"There's no real deal in place yet, but yeah, my intent is to take a stab at it," Kelley revealed in an interview with Zap2It. "I've been working on it between scripts for 'Harry's Law.' It's a very, very different genre for me, a very tricky beast. I won't know whether I've cracked it or not until I've finished it, but it's going."

Kelley said that if he doesn't feel he can crack the superhero genre, he'll step away from the "Wonder Woman" series. Read more...

Chance's proposal is even more dangerous than usual: he wants to team up with his longtime nemesis Baptiste (Lennie James), because the criminal holding Ilsa's friend is a mutual enemy of theirs.

TyreeseRick Grimes and best buddy Shane aren't exactly getting along these days. The two have quibbled back and forth over numerous issues on "The Walking Dead," not the least of which is Shane's short-lived secret affair with Rick's wife, Lori. Needless to say, Rick could use a new go-to guy out there in the zombie apocalypse.

In the comic books, that's where Tyreese comes in. A former professional NFL football player, Tyreese bonds with Rick on multiple levels: both of them are fathers, and just like Rick, he'll do whatever he must to protect his family. Both of them are courageous on the battlefield, always the first to infiltrate a zombie-swarmed area to clear the way for their allies. But for all of their similarities, the two are often bogged down by the stress of their situation, taking their frustrations and insecurities out on each other.

There's no official word on Tyreese's involvement in "The Walking Dead," but if he does appear on the show, here are the five actors we would want to see playing the part. Read more...

Batman: Arkham CityIt came as a surprise to no one when we named "Batman: Arkham Asylum" our favorite video game of 2009, so it should be equally un-surprising (non-surprising?) to know that we're ridiculously excited about any and all info we can get about the sequel, "Batman: Arkham City."

Back in September we got a look at a bunch of new images from "Batman: Arkham City" featuring Catwoman, Two-Face, and other characters, and now a teaser trailer for the game has arrived online. The full trailer for "Batman: Arkham City" will debut this Saturday during the Video Game Awards on Spike TV, but this new video offers a short tease.

SPOILER WARNING: Batman does indeed continue to be a total bad-ass in the sequel. Read more...

Powers"The Walking Dead" is off the airwaves until Season Two premieres next year, but it might not be long before we hear about a new comic book television series.

Vulture reports that Charles H. "Chic" Eglee, rumored to have been fired from the staff of "The Walking Dead," is in discussions with FX and Sony Pictures Television to become a writer and executive producer on "Powers," a new series based on the comic books created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming.

Bendis confirmed the scoop on Twitter, saying: "OK, I rarely do this, but the Powers TV rumor that hit the net today... confirmed as fact!" Read more...

Mike McMillian - True BloodIf you haven't been reading the "True Blood" comic book series, perhaps the direct involvement of a "True Blood" cast member might push you over the fence.

IDW Publishing and HBO announced in a press release today that actor and "Lucid" creator Michael McMillian, who stars on "True Blood" as the nefarious Reverend Steve Newlin, is lending his talents as a co-writer to the television-turned-comic book series. He'll co-author the second arc of "True Blood" alongside writer Marc Andreyko, with Joe Corroney tapped for art duties.

"Co-writing the 'True Blood' comic is a dream come true both as a performer on the show and as a longtime comic fan," McMillian said in a statement. "It's a real privilege to build on the rapidly growing 'True Blood' mythology." Read more...

Earlier this week, we gave you a segment from our interview with "Cowboys & Aliens" and "Iron Man" franchise director Jon Favreau in which he indicated that "Iron Man 3" will be a sequel to "The Avengers" and the other Marvel movies that come before it (including "Captain America" and "Thor").

In the rest of the segment (posted below), Favreau discusses how Marvel's movie world will change between now and when "Iron Man 3" goes into production — and whether that means we'll finally see his arch enemy, The Mandarin.

"If you remember, 'Iron Man' was a very normal world. It was based in our real world, with a few little things exaggerated," Favreau told MTV News. "The technology was exaggerated slightly, but really it didn't feel like you were stepping into a superhero world. It didn't feel like you were stepping into the Marvel Universe." Read more...

Conan the BarbarianFrom arrogant swordsman to cunning rogue, there are many ways that one could describe Conan — the impossibly muscled warrior, not the redheaded talk show host — but it appears that his status as a barbarian is still the favorite descriptor.

Superhero Hype reports that the forthcoming "Conan" reboot has changed its title to "Conan the Barbarian," reflecting the original title of the Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring adaptation. It's a small change for some, sure, but for longtime fans of the property and character, it's a step into previously conquered ground. Read more...
