Black Eyed Peas comicEarlier this week, we gave you an early peek at the "Glee" comic book that just hit shelves from Bluewater Comics, and now we have an exclusive look at the next title in their popular line of "Fame" biography comics.

"Fame: The Black Eyed Peas" will follow in the footsteps of Bluewater's previous unauthorized biographies of Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and other pop icons, and promises to "trace the history of one of the country’s most popular bands from its humble roots all the way to its Grammy winning successes."

Written by M. Zachary Sherman with art from Kristopher Smith, the 32-page comic arrives on shelves in February 2011. Read More...

Tron LegacySports fans mourned the loss of Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Feller this week, and you may be surprised to learn that one comics writer in our feed even got to
interview him at one point. Boston and New York basketball fans, meanwhile were watching the Celtics/Knicks game last night, and Spike Lee got as much tweet attention as the game itself from where I was sitting.

Elsewhere, reactions to "Tron: Legacy" have been rolling in, while Jon Favreau's departure from "Iron Man 3" and Scarlett Johansson are still fresh on everyone's minds. Check out who's hoping for what and who you agree with down below.

From enchanted suits of armor to menacing Frost Giants, Thor certainly has his hands full with bad guys in his forthcoming feature film debut — and just like the Norse God of Thunder, you too can have your hands full of Thor and his mighty foes!

Cool Toy Review has posted an image showing a group shot of the upcoming "Thor" movies tie-in Minimates action figures. As you can see, there's no shortage of action-packed characters standing in the hammer-wielding hero's path towards redemption.

Pictured from left to right are Odin (Anthony Hopkins), a Frost Giant (Colm Feore), Thor himself (Chris Hemsworth), Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and the Destroyer. Read More...

The Walking DeadWhen "The Walking Dead" premiered on AMC, I wasn't alone in being a bit surprised by the gory, gruesome lengths to which the series' creators went when depicting the violent eradication of flesh-hungry zombies.

In the first few moments of the series' pilot, we saw Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) dispose of a zombie-fied little girl with a well-placed bullet between the eyes, a scene that let audiences know that "The Walking Dead" isn't pulling punches when it comes to the brutal realities of its post-apocalyptic world. Given the contributions of veteran makeup effects guru Greg Nicotero, it's no surprise that things only got wilder as the series went on — and that someone took the time to collect all of the series' zombie kills in one epic montage. Godzilla comicBack in October, we brought you the exclusive news that Godzilla was returning to comics — and he was bringing a whole mess of monsters with him. Today, IDW Publishing has revealed the creative team that will handle Godzilla's new adventures, and offered up a brand new cover image for the series.

Scripted by "Goon" creator Eric Powell and Tracy Marsh, the newly retitled "Godzilla: Monster World" will feature art by Phil Hester ("Green Arrow," "Firebreather") and painted covers by Powell and Alex Ross. According to IDW, the series unfolds in a world where "the monsters are a force of nature whose attacks can be no more predicted or rationalized than a lightning strike. There will be no clean-cut heroes with perfectly chiseled chins and capes billowing in the wind; only ordinary human beings struggling desperately to survive in a world gone mad."

"Godzilla: Monster World" #1 will hit shelves in March 2011. Read More...

Hey, remember when the Jack Black was going to play Green Lantern in a superhero comedy written by "TV Funhouse" creator Robert Smigel? We don't fault you if you've forgotten about that brief, potentially traumatic period in comic book movie history, especially given all the buzz surrounding Ryan Reynolds' current take on the character.

But that doesn't change the fact that funny guy and "Gulliver's Travels" actor Black was indeed chosen (by Warner Bros.) to wield the ring just a few years ago — and he hasn't forgotten about it.

"I do. I just think about it sometimes," Black told MTV News when asked if all the press for next year's "Green Lantern" movie ever gets him thinking about what could've been. Read More...

Doctor WhoWe're just a few weeks away from the premiere of the "Doctor Who" Christmas Special, and I'm probably not alone in counting the days until The Doctor returns for his annual holiday adventure.

Thankfully, U.S. audiences won't have to wait any longer than their U.K. counterparts for "Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol," but what's even better is that we're starting to see a few more clips, interviews, and other teasers arriving online from BBC and BBC America. This time around, a pair of video previews for the "Doctor Who" Christmas Special have found their way to the InterWebs, and they're just the thing to pass the (wibbly, wobbly) time until the episode airs.

The two segments include a great little interview with "Doctor Who" star Matt Smith about the special (featuring some brand new scenes from the episode) and his time as The Doctor, as well as a fun little preview of the special with comments from Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and the rest of the cast. Jon Favreau Iron Man 3Jon Favreau has officially relinquished the director's chair for "Iron Man 3," and the news sent ripples through the comics Twitterverse this morning. Dan Slott, however, is still holding out to see the "Cowboys and Aliens" director hang around and contribute at least one more cameo, however.

In other Marvel film universe related happenings, Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds' split has likewise attracted some commentary, and Chris Weston sounded hopeful last night. Find out why down below, where his wish has been retweeted along with some continuing Golden Globes reactions, Phil Hester on a recent breakthrough in HIV cure research and Mark Millar's picks for new directors in the world of Marvel movies.

Green HornetThere's only one month left until "The Green Hornet" arrives in theaters, but you won't have to wait until January to see just how realistic the film's action sequences really are.

"The Green Hornet" is getting the spotlight in an all-new episode of "Mythbusters" airing tonight (December 15) at 9PM eastern/pacific on the Discovery Channel. The episode will highlight two of the movie's many action sequences, with Seth Rogen himself serving as a veritable Kato to regular hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman.

“I’m a big fan of 'Mythbusters,'” Rogen said in a statement.  “We were making a big action movie and it just seemed like the only time we could do something like this.  I watch the show all the time and it just seemed cool to see if the stuff in our movie was possible in any way, shape or form.” Read More...

Jon FavreauIt's official, folks: Jon Favreau is not directing "Iron Man 3."

Following yesterday's initial report that Favreau was walking away from the Marvel Studios property after directing the first two installments in the series, the director himself has taken to the airwaves to come clean on the news.

"It's true," he told fans on Twitter. "I'm directing 'Magic Kingdom,' not 'Iron Man 3.' I've had a great run with Marvel and wish them the best."

Favreau was hired to direct "Magic Kingdom" for Disney some weeks ago. The film focuses on a family that's trapped inside of Disneyland after closing hours, and much to their surprise, the theme park starts coming to life all around them. Read More...
