Santa ClausRob Liefeld's pro-Deadpool movie campaign marched on today in his Twitter feed, and he's brought "Knight and Day" and "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" into the discussion along with his belief that Fox could do far better with Ryan Reynolds in a Wade Wilson film.

In other tweets, it was a fine morning for artwork, with Jill Thompson producing a Santa Claus pic and Mahmud Asrar tackling The Engineer of "The Authority" fame. Those two gems, David Mack's reaction to "Black Swan" and Greg Rucka's push for a Lois Lane series are all retweeted below.

We know that Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner, and Thor will all be in "The Avengers," but what about some of the other characters? What about the ones without the superpowers and fancy costumes?

According to "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2" actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Tony Stark's favorite leading lady won't be involved in Marvel's 2012 superhero team-up blockbuster.

"Pepper is not invited to 'Avengers,'" Paltrow told MTV News during a press event for her new film "Country Strong." Read More...

ThorWith the "Thor" trailer finally available for the whole world to see, fans are doubtlessly eager for the Thunder God's electrifying silver-screen debut.

But when the hammer-wielding hero arrives in theaters next May, he won't be alone: unfortunately for him (but thankfully for us), there's a whole lot of villains joining him on his first trip to Earth. If you watched the "Thor" trailer, then you've already noticed a few of these villains. Loki, for example, is the movie's primary antagonist, but he's got some company in the form of The Destroyer.

If you're not familiar with the god-crushing suit of armor, don't sweat it — we've got a rundown on who and what the Destroyer is after the jump! Read More...

Iron Man 2"Thor" struck thunder upon comic book movie lovers everywhere over the weekend with the release of its first official trailer. In celebration of the Thunder God's impending arrival, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige took the opportunity to reach out to fans to discuss the company's filmmaking future.

Collider has an extensive recap of Feige's conversation with Hero Complex readers, which revealed a wide variety of details including the fact that Tony Stark would upgrade his armor for "The Avengers."

"The best part about making an Iron Man movie is deciding which of his many armors to debut," he said. "[Director Joss Whedon] would kill me if I gave anything away, but I will say that the evolution you saw his armor take in 'Iron Man 2' will continue in 'The Avengers.'" Read More...

DreddAlthough there are several essential ingredients required in order to successfully nail down a character, there's little doubt that it's the helmet that makes the man in the case of Judge Dredd.

If nothing else, it appears that the folks behind the forthcoming "Dredd" adaptation have nailed that helmet on the nose, as the initial photo of Karl Urban dressed as Mega City One's most iconic judge, jury and executioner was met with approval from most of the character's fans.

But if that one glimpse wasn't enough helmet action, perhaps some new photos from "Dredd" helmet sculptor Edmund Woodward will do the trick. Read More...

X-Men: First Class"X-Men: First Class" arrives in theaters in June 2011, but despite the fact that the "X-Men" prequel is getting closer and closer, there's still only so much we know about the plot of the film.

Thankfully, 20th Century Fox has released a new plot synopsis that's sure to tide comic book movie fans over for the next little while. Screen Rant has the synopsis for director Matthew Vaughn's "First Class," which focuses on the early days of Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr's friendship.

"'X-Men: First Class' charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events," states the synopsis. Read More...

Ever since Nick Fury uttered the phrase "the Avengers initiative" to Tony Stark at the end of the first "Iron Man," fans have been waiting with bated breath to see ol' Shellhead get together with Thor and Captain America on the silver screen. But there has been some skepticism as to how it would all work out — after all, Tony is a tech-based character while someone like Thor depends heavily on mysticism.

While we're not necessarily closer to an answer on how well they'll share the screen in "The Avengers," we certainly have a much better idea about how the Thunder God is going to fit into cinemas next summer.

Marvel Studios and Paramount have unveiled the highly anticipated trailer for "Thor," director Kenneth Branagh's adaptation of the classic Marvel Comics hero — and needless to say, it looks like Marvel has captured lightning in a bottle once again. Read More...

The Walking DeadRumors of "The Walking Dead" showrunner Frank Darabont dropping his entire writing staff in favor of freelance writers for season two caused quite a stir in the fan community, despite the fact that both Robert Kirkman and Gale Anne Hurd have denied those reports.

But even if the reports are true, would turning towards freelancers be the worst thing in the world? By opening up "The Walking Dead" to a pool of freelance writers, Darabont and his team could attract some truly noteworthy names to craft some equally memorable episodes of the AMC zombie series.

After the jump, check out some of the high-profile writers we would love to see tackling episodes of "The Walking Dead." Read More...
