The new year is off to a good start for the big-screen “Spider-Man” reboot (not so much for theBroadway show, unfortunately), by way of shiny new photos of Andrew Garlfield and Emma Stone in character on the Los Angeles set!
We've already had a peek at Stone as Gwen Stacy (Stone's natural hair color, I might add) and a rainy funeral scene, but thanks to the quickfire photo talents from Pacific Coast News, we have our first look at Garfield and Stone in action. From what we can tell, it looks like Peter Parker and Gwen might be sharing their first kiss in the bleachers.
Naturally, it would have been nice to see Garfield in action, hanging upside down from something, fighting The Lizard or Proto Goblin (or whatever villain he'll fight in the movie), but we'll take what we can get.
When it comes to Spidey kisses, Garfield and Stone will have a tough time topping the upside down, rain-soaked kiss between Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, one of the many memorable scenes from Sam Raimi's trilogy.
Speaking of Maguire, he recently sent Garfield his well wishes on jumping into his tights/shoes as the new Peter Parker.
"[Maguire] sent me a lovely message through a mutual friend. He gave me his support and it meant a great deal of course because part of the reason I love and have continued to love this character was because of his portrayal. To step into those shoes is no mean feat," Garfield said during a recent appearance on BBC News.
