Wonder WomanCool your invisible jets, Wonder Woman fans -- there's nothing to get excited about yet.

It was announced last year that "The Practice" creator David E. Kelley was attached to develop a new "Wonder Woman" television series. But it appears that the announcement was premature, as a new report states that the "Wonder Woman" TV show is not happening at this time. Deadline says that every major network has passed on Kelley's script, including the Warner Bros.-owned CW because the network could not afford the show. Read More...

The CapeEpisode Title: "Pilot" & "Tarot"

Written By: Tom Wheeler

Story: Palm City policeman Vince Faraday (David Lyons) is framed by masked crime boss Chess. Left for dead, he's taken in by a group of bank-robbing former carnival performers led by Max Malini (Keith David) and becomes the vigilante known as "The Cape" in order to protect his wife and son. The Cape quickly becomes a thorn in the side of Peter Fleming (James Frain), the head of the corrupt ARK corporation and the alter ego of Chess, who decides to get some help from the vicious, reptilian-looking Scales (Vinnie Jones). Meanwhile, Faraday is assisted by the mysterious blogger Orwell (Summer Glau).

In the second episode, Chess recruits dangerous chemist and knife-wielder Cain, and The Cape's first encounter with the new villain is nearly his last. Forced to temporarily abandon his signature cape, Faraday learns more about the challenge he'll face in bringing down Chess — and earns the attention of the criminal organization known as Tarot. The Walking DeadGood news and bad news for fans of "The Walking Dead." Series creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman says that Michonne, the fan-favorite sword-wielding zombie apocalypse survivor, is a likely fit for season two of the hit AMC series. The Governor, however, won't be arriving quite as quickly.

"Frank has already hinted at the fact that we'll be seeing Michonne as early as Season 2," the comic book writer told USA Today. "The Governor is probably a little ways off from Season 2 — maybe Season 3 or beyond."

Based on Kirkman's words, it appears that Rick Grimes and his fellow survivors won't encounter the Woodbury community in next year's second season. No matter — there are plenty of other possibilities to look forward to. Read More...

Christopher NolanDespite the recent influx of 3-D movie releases, there's at least one forthcoming comic book flick that won't rely on the increasingly popular filmmaking technique: "The Dark Knight Rises."

Christopher Nolan has made no secret of his aversion to 3-D in the past, and in a new interview with Deadline, he clarified his thoughts on why his third Batman movie won't be shot in 3-D.

"In the case of Batman, I view those as iconic, operatic movies, dealing with larger-than-life characters," he explained. "The intimacy that the 3D parallax illusion imposes isn't really compatible with that. We are finishing our story on the next Batman, and we want to be consistent to the look of the previous films." Captain AmericaIf you're worried about Joe Johnston directing "Captain America" following his critically panned work on "The Wolfman," perhaps you'll find comfort in the fact that Johnston himself knows his last film wasn't very good.

In an interview with Comic Book Movie, Johnston explained that "Wolfman," a project he entered with a mere three weeks before production, owes its failure to "a perfect storm suffering from bad decisions, infighting, reluctance of the powers-that-be to take responsibility, and too many under-qualified cooks in the kitchen."

"I had taken the job mostly because I had a cash flow problem, the only time in my career I've ever let finances enter into the decision process," he confessed. "Money is always the wrong reason for doing something that requires passionate deviation." Read More...

"The Green Hornet" hits theaters a week from today, and we've been bringing you new clips from the film all week showcasing, among other things, director Michel Gondry's unique "Kato Vision" fight-sequence filming, and a high-speed chase featuring stars Seth Rogen and Jay Chou.

This time around, we have a nice clip that puts the spotlight on another prominent member of the cast: the four-wheeled fury known as Black Beauty.

"The Green Hornet" hits theaters January 14.

Joe Quesada artworkAlan Moore was a hot topic yesterday, but no one in the discussion about his controversial opinions went quite as far as artist Mark Brooks did last night.

As far as my own opinions go, Chris Ryall tweeted one of the most exciting messages of the day Thursday; I don't know what he's hiding, but if Geof Darrow made it, I want to see it.

Corey Lewis, meanwhile, wants you to see "The Fighter," and Kevin Smith does not want you to see his new movie "Red State" while under the influence of marijuana. Smith's explanation and some killer Joe Quesada artwork can be found down below.

Mister TwisterOne of the most popular pieces of video on Splash Page last year was a six-minute clip from "Young Justice," the new animated series that follows the teenage proteges of Batman, Green Arrow, and the rest of DC's premiere superhero team, The Justice League of America. While the team made its initial debut in an hour-long special last November, the weekly series will officially kick off tonight at 7 PM on Cartoon Network.

For anyone who missed the "Young Justice" special last year, you'll have a chance to catch it again, repackaged as the first two episodes of the weekly series (Jan. 7 and Jan. 14), with the first new episode ("Welcome To Happy Harbor") airing January 21. And as a special treat for Splash Page readers, Warner Bros. has offered up an exclusive first look at that episode's villain, Mister Twister. Read More...

Ghost RiderAlthough it's not a reboot in the traditional sense of the word, "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" will veer off from its predecessor's path in at least one meaningful way: a brand new origin.

Speaking with UKPA (via Superhero Hype), Nicolas Cage revealed that the currently shooting "Ghost Rider" sequel is a completely different beast than the original film. So much so, in fact, that there's an entirely new origin sequence in place.

"[It's going to be] very different," he said. "A completely new experience and that's how the directors choose to see it. I mean there's even a new origin sequence." Read More...
