ThorThis week brought you first looks at Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker in the "Spider-Man" reboot as well as a fully costumed Chris Evans as Steve Rogers in "Captain America: The First Avenger." Why not throw in one more Marvel superhero for good measure?

Entertainment Weekly has posted a brand new image from "Thor," director Kenneth Branagh's forthcoming adaptation of the classic Marvel Comics character. The movie, which arrives in theaters the first week of May, stars Chris Hemsworth as the titular hammer-wielding Asgardian warrior and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, his mortal love interest.

Young JusticeLast week, we gave you an exclusive first look at "Young Justice" villain Mister Twister, who will make his debut in next week's episode of the new Cartoon Network animated series. Before that happens, however, the two-part series premiere continues tonight (7 PM Eastern on Cartoon Network) with "Independence Day, Part 2."

Given the great response to the six-minute "Young Justice" trailer we premiered here on Splash Page back in November, the adventures of DC's new teen superhero team have found quite a following — which is why I reached out to producers Greg Weisman ("Gargoyles") and Brandon Vietti ("Batman: Under The Red Hood") for more info about how the series came together and what to expect this season.

From team-building decisions to finding a place for the series in DC continuity, Weisman and Vietti offered a great look at the past, present, and future of their teenage team. Read More...

Wonder WomanDon't worry, "Wonder Woman" fans. Even though the character's planned small screen revival has been sidelined for now, producer and writer David E. Kelley is convinced that the show will go on.

Kelley told The Hollywood Reporter that even though the project failed to land at a network this year, "Wonder Woman" could still find its way to television viewers as soon as next year.

"I think the likelihood is we'll see it next year," he said. "I'm being optimistic but I don't think I'm being unrealistic." Read More...

Doctor WhoLate last year, "Doctor Who" comics scribe Tony Lee offered up a preview of sorts for the relaunch of IDW Publishing's ongoing series that will introduce The Eleventh Doctor — played by Matt Smith in the television series — to the publisher's comic book universe.

That new series kicks off next week in "Doctor Who" #1, featuring a story by Lee and interior artist Andrew Currie that has The Doctor and his companions, Rory, and Amy, racing against time to save an alien planet from invading mercenaries while dealing with an outbreak of holographic spam on the TARDIS.

And just to get you ready for The Eleventh Doctor's big debut, IDW has provided Splash Page readers with a preview of "Doctor Who" #1. So straighten your bowtie and put on your favorite fez, Whovians, because it's time to welcome Matt Smith to the comics world! Read More...

Green HornetAfter going through years of development and numerous casting and crew changes, director Michel Gondry and Seth Rogen's "The Green Hornet" is finally here.

More than that, "The Green Hornet" is good. Very good, in fact. After catching a screening of the film earlier this week, I walked away much more impressed with the end result than I ever imagined at the outset.

Read on for the five things I enjoyed the most about "The Green Hornet"! Read More...

Andrew Garfield as Spider-ManThe first photo of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man was released by Sony earlier today, ending almost a year of speculation about how the friendly neighborhood webslinger will look when the franchise is rebooted by "500 Days Of Summer" filmmaker Marc Webb.

Even though Peter Parker's looking a little beat up in the photo and we don't get to see the mask, there are a lot of changes to be seen in the new, rebooted Spider-Man costume. So now the question becomes: do we like it?

Now's your chance to let us know whether you think the new Spider-Man suit is a big win, a total fail, or a decision that can only be made once we see the mask — which is totally understandable. Personally, I'm a fan of the new look, but I'm sure there will be more than a few people with differing opinions. Read More...

Last year, we went a little crazy for the footage we saw of the "Black Panther" animated series developed by BET. Featuring award-winning actor Djimon Hounsou as the voice of Wakandan leader T'Challa (a.k.a. The Black Panther), the six-episode series debuted on iTunes back in June and now arrives on DVD next week, courtesy of Shout Factory and Marvel Knights Animation.

The animated series is based on the celebrated "Black Panther" comic book arc written by former BET President of Entertainment Reginald Hudlin and veteran artist John Romita Jr. ("Kick-Ass"), and uses a motion-comic style of animation.

Along with bringing you the exclusive clip above featuring a young Captain America's first encounter with Black Panther, I spoke to Hudlin about the series' journey from the page to the screen. Read More...

Spider-Man: Turn off the DarkSurprise, surprise: the "Spider-Man" musical has been delayed for a fifth time.

Currently playing in preview performances, "Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark" will once again miss its scheduled premiere date. Most recently scheduled for a February debut, producers have announced that the musical will now officially open on March 15, 2011.

In a press release, producers cited a need to "fine-tune aspects of the show, including the new ending," as reasons for the latest delay. Read More...

WolverineHoroscope watchers have been scratching their heads this week, thanks to some zodiac changes being implemented. Sign shifts and the addition of a new one called Ophiuchus could impact tattoos all over the place, though comics creators mostly think the whole institution is wacky to begin with and/or wonder what the implications will be for the Marvel Comics super-villain team.

Meanwhile, Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man costume has been grabbing some eyes. You'll find out who likes the web-shooters, who's withholding his opinion and who drew a badass Wolverine (even in 2007) down below.

Yesterday we got our first look at the Spider-Man costume that Andrew Garfield will be sporting when the superhero returns to theaters in 2012. And while the iconic red-and-blue costume has changed over the years in the comic book universe, it's also undergone some changes in the movie world, too.

From the time Tobey Maguire slipped on the spandex in 2002 to yesterday's reveal of the new costume, the friendly neighborhood webslinger has changed his look with every big-screen iteration. Want to see just how much Spidey's look has changed over the years? Click on the image below for a gallery of Spider-Man's movie costumes over the years:

Still, you know what all those costumes are missing? Underarm webbing. Don't worry — there's still time to fix that, Sony. Read More...
