ThunderCatsThere's no arguing that the upcoming "ThunderCats" animated series is one of the year's most-anticipated projects around Splash Page HQ, and at last weekend's Toy Fair 2011 we got our first look at the new line of toys that was being launched alongside the series.

But information about the toys wasn't the only "ThunderCats" intel we received during the show.

Along with learning a few more things about the animated series from our tour of Bandai's "ThunderCats" toy line, there was also a supplemental video playing in the showroom that revealed a few cool little details about what to expect when Lion-O and Co. return to television. There isn't anything too spoilery to be learned, but hardcore fans should find some of these elements interesting. (I know I did!) Read More...

Thor trailerSome of you may be warming up to "Thor," now that the new trailer is online. Kat Dennings' character in particular got a lot more screen time, and you can see some more humor coming out. Bryan Hitch loved the new set of clips, though Chip Zdarsky wants you to know that his "Thor" love is greater than yours.

Elswhere, Kurt Busiek started a lively chat about modern-day TV-to-comic adaptations and the creative teams he'd like to see with them. Check out his "Hawaii Five-0" proposition, a hard-hitting "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" question from Gail Simone, and Mark Millar's outlook for "Iron Man 3." It's all on the record down below.

Just in case you missed it yesterday, Tales of Monkey Island and Back to the Future developer Telltale Games is preparing episodic adventure game adaptations of Robert Kirkman's "The Walking Dead" and Bill Willingham's "Fables." Of course, the news triggered a wave of curiosity from fans and observers looking to learn more about what the developer's plans are for translating each series into an interactive experience.

Kirkman sat down for an interview in which he said very little about the game, but he made up for it when he dropped some hints on what to expect from Season Two of AMC's hit television series "The Walking Dead."

"The game is at an early stage and we're in the process of mapping it out now," he told IGN. "[It's] definitely within the comic book world, just like the novel series, [and] it's definitely episodic." Read More...

If you haven't checked out the new trailer for "Thor" definitely do so now. It's perhaps the most exciting glimpse yet of Kenneth Branagh's big-screen Marvel Comics adaptation, offering new looks at the titular God of Thunder's arrogant side, as well the film's rogues gallery — and it's this latter facet that Branagh discussed in a recent interview, offering new facts about primary antogonists in the film.

"A brother who is unhappy is a dangerous relative to have," Branagh said of Thor's sibling, Loki, in an interview with EW.

The interview gets into some pretty detailed descriptions of the plot, so consider this your SPOILER ALERT before reading on. Read More...

Director Marc Webb's upcoming Marvel superhero reboot, which was recently given an official title, "The Amazing Spider-Man," is well on its way to its July 3, 2012 release. We've seen plenty of views from the set and all sorts of reports and rumors here on MTV Splash Page, but the latest comes from a casting call which reveals that Webb and his team are looking for a capable helicopter pilot.

The news comes from an update on Central Casting's Facebook page (via SuperHeroHype). It reads: "Wendy is looking for REAL EXPERIENCED HELICOPTER PILOTS for her feature film, Fiona's Tale. If that's you or you know someone, please call Wendy at 818/260-3951. This works March 11th, 2011. thx!"

Don't let the mention of "Fiona's Tale" fool you, that title is a fake that the production is using to throw off curious onlookers. The spies will ultimately have their way, of course, but not having a big sign that reads "THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN" at least keeps ignorant bystanders in the dark. Read More...

Exactly one week ago it was reported that Shane Black was being considered to direct "Iron Man 3," replacing Jon Favreau, who dropped out of the project in December to focus his efforts on Disney's "Magic Kingdom." Now things are almost official: Black is closing in on "Iron Man 3."

The "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" director is now in "final negotiations" with Marvel Studios to get behind the camera for "Iron Man 3," reports Deadline.

Black is predominantly a writer, though there is no word yet on whether he'll be asked to take a pen to the sequel's script. Read More...

Darren Aronofsky may be busy in the near-term preparing himself for the Oscars next weekend (where his 2010 thriller "Black Swan" is sure to make itself heard), but the project many readers are probably concerned with right now is how he's going to handle himself on "The Wolverine." The director spoke about his plans for the comic book movie again in a recent interview, reiterating previous statements that it should not be considered a sequel to "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

"I just love working with Hugh Jackman," Aronofsky said in a pre-Oscars interview with NBC's PopcornBiz. "And I think there's something to be done in that world that hasn't been done yet. I'm also excited to do something that everyone wants to make, as opposed to being the only person that wants to make the film at the beginning." Read More...

SupermanEven though the photo of Henry Cavill that debuted today was billed as our first look at the new Superman, we weren't alone in feeling like the British actor isn't officially the Man of Steel until we see him in the ol' cape and tights.

From the first time Kirk Alyn donned Superman's costume for the 1948 "Superman" serial to Brandon Routh's debut in "Superman Returns" almost 20 years later, every actor to play DC's Man of Steel has offered a distinctly different take on the character. Sure, the fundamental elements of what makes Superman one of the most iconic characters in comics have been present in each iteration, but there have always been differences in each costume and the man who wore it.

In order to get a better look at how the live-action version of Superman and his costume have evolved over the years, we've put together a photo gallery featuring all eight men who played Superman on television and in movies before Henry Cavill landed the job. It's not easy to be the Man of Steel, but somehow each of them managed. Read More...

Adrianne PalickiReactions are in following yesterday's announcement that Adrianne Palicki will play Wonder Woman in David E. Kelly's new NBC pilot. Some creators are happy, some are frustrated, and at least one is just rolling his eyes about how little mainstream audiences seem to understand about the character.

Geoff Johns, meanwhile, woke up to FBI agents outside of his home. He didn't say what the big deal was, but he did post a picture as proof. Share your theories and read some thoughts on "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" and Facebook etiquette down below.
