Back at the beginning of February, actress Samuel L. Jackson) sidekick Maria Hill in Joss Whedon's upcoming Marvel Comics adaptation, "The Avengers." The movie is just rounding on the end of pre-production now, with shooting to begin next month.
Smulders said in a recent interview that she's leaving very soon to start work in front of the cameras.
"We start in April, which is like... tomorrow. I literally leave here and I go to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to shoot some scenes in a catsuit," she told Zap2It.
If you're struggling to come up with a mental image of a catsuit, think Catwoman. Or, better yet, just look at an image of Maria Hill in her S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform.
Smulders continued, "I've tried on portions of the catsuit [and] I've seen conceptual drawings of what they want it to be. It's fascinating to me. I feel like wardrobe becomes very creative on these types of movies because they literally spend weeks designing just the pants or the emblem. It's such an all-consuming process, so I'm excited to see how it all turns out."
Smulders is a star on the hit TV series "How I Met Your Mother" and was at one point Whedon's top pick for the role Wonder Woman in his now-shelved movie about the DC Comics superhero.
