Just in case you missed the big news: Amy Adams will play Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's upcoming reboot of the "Superman" film franchise.
And while we're glad to hear that The Daily Planet's ace reporter will indeed have a role in "Man Of Steel" (the project's current working title), not everyone is thrilled about who will be playing her. The casting of the "Enchanted" and "The Fighter" actress has prompted much online debate, and though we rounded up some of the response on Twitter from comic book creators, we also want to hear from you — the fans!
Do you like the casting? Hate it? Do you need to see more of the film to weigh in? Let us know! Read more...

Gary Oldman told MTV in a recent interview that Christopher Nolan will bring the story back around to his first Batman movie in next year's trilogy-capper, "The Dark Knight Rises." Considering the level of security surrounding your typical Nolan movie, this was a lot of information.
Oldman spilled a few more beans in another recent chat, speaking on the subject of script security and confirming that he and fellow star Tom Hardy will be sharing some screen time.
"All I can say is it's a great story [with a] really great script. He's outdone himself from 'The Dark Knight.' It's fantastic," Oldman said, going on to mention that this marks yet another engagement with Hardy, following their work together on the upcoming films "The Wettest Country" and "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy." He added, "I have quite a bit to do with Tom in this one." Read more...

Amy Adams officially grabbed the role of Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's Superman film this week, and with it, she also gained trending status on the Twitter Report's follow list. Mark Millar loves the choice, as does Gail Simone. J.T. Krul thinks someone else was robbed, however.
Elsewhere, Rob Liefeld shared his theory about Snyder's other film, "Sucker Punch," and its disappointing performance at the box office over the weekend. Mike Allred kept this morning's reading upbeat with a glistening micro-review of "Paul," though. Find out who you agree with down below.

After years of legal battles and disputes, the fight between Tribune Co. and actor Warren Beatty over the film and television rights to square-jawed comic-strip detective Dick Tracy have been resolved in the actor's favor.
As reported by Deadline Hollywood, U.S. District Court judge Dean D. Pregerson ruled in Beatty's favor. Although Beatty's best-known connection to "Dick Tracy" has been starring as the character in the 1990 feature film, the legendary screen star worked as a producer going as far back as 1985 when he acquired the property's film and television rights from Tribune Co.
The original terms of the contract between Beatty and Tribune Co. set out that if the actor did not develop new material for "Dick Tracy" then the rights would revert back to Tribune Co. Although audiences haven't seen anything since the 1990 film, Beatty produced records indicating that he was still actively working on the project and had recently done a documentary on the character that aired on Turner Classic Movies channel. After months of speculation, the 2012 Superman reboot "Man of Steel" has found its star reporter in actress Amy Adams.
Los Angeles Times' blog Hero Complex released the news that Adams beat out a host of other actresses for the coveted role.

Things continue to move right along for NBC's upcoming "Wonder Woman" television series pilot, with the first look at Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman premiering last week, and now another major character cast.
Former "Knight Rider" reboot star Justin Bruening will play Steve Trevor in the "Wonder Woman" series pilot, according to Deadline.
An early "Wonder Woman" casting call described the role as "A leading man Diana can’t look past. Good looking but a real man. An Army vet, he now works in the Justice dept." Read more...

We're still early in the development of Zack Snyder's "Superman" reboot, with only three of the film's leads cast at this point. And while there's no shortage of rumors regarding who might be contending for a part in the film, it looks like we can add yet another name to the list: Michael Shannon.
According to Deadline, the next order of business in casting the film involves finding an actor to portray the as-yet-unidentified villain, and the "Boardwalk Empire" and "Take Shelter" actor is one of several being eyed for the role.

With great power comes great responsibility. Sony is the wielder of that great power now, holding the reins to a classic Marvel Comics franchise as Marc Webb continues work on his reboot, "The Amazing Spider-Man."
The studio's responsibility is to the fans, in doing justice to the much-loved character and it's one that Sony is apparently taking seriously too. A writer has already been confirmed for an "Amazing Spider-Man" sequel even as production continues on the planned July 3, 2012 release.
James Vanderbilt, who penned the script that Webb is currently shooting with, is now officially set to return to pen the sequel, The Hollywood Reporter confirms. The writer met with the studio earlier this week, follow-up plot outline in hand, and walked away with a brand-new gig to keep him busy. Read more...

Now that the "Chew" TV series is headed to Showtime, we can all look forward to seeing which elements of John Layman and Rob Guillory's Image Comics series make it over to the adaptation. For the time being, though, we do have a fine tweet from Guillory forecasting what the Showtime take could look like.
In other topics, I hope you left yesterday's report craving more "Sucker Punch" reviews, because a few more showed up in the feed this morning. Adam Hughes has now dethroned Fred Van Lente with my favorite horrible description of the film yet, but I'm still just as stoked to finally see it as Jim Lee seems to be. Read the review carnage after the jump and find out which comic Gallagher won't be appearing on anytime soon.
