SmallvilleThe series finale of “Smallville” is almost upon us, and while we won’t know all the details until we sit down and watch it, star Tom Welling has given fans some helpful hints about what to expect. Warning, there could be some spoilers in his comments!

Speaking with DoversWorld.com, he discussed what will happen between Superman and Lois Lane in series' 10th and final episode.

"In the season finale, we address the future between Clark and Lois,” he said. “I think that what you'll see is that Clark is destined to be alone. It's the hero's burden. You'll see in the finale that of course, there is a future between Clark and Lois in the world of Superman. It's how they get there that I think will be very entertaining." Read more...

In the movie “Captain America: The First Avenger,” Steve Rogers makes it look easy to get big and buff — all it takes is a bit of super-soldier serum. For actor Chris Evans, however, the process was a little more complicated.

MTV News spoke to Evans as part of our Summer Movie Preview Week, and the actor was the first to admit he didn’t enjoy his "Captain America" workout regimen and diet at all.

“Oh my god, when shooting was done I just stopped going to the gym completely for about three months,” he told MTV News. Read more...

SupermanSuperman made headlines this week with DC Comics' announcement that he will be renouncing his U.S. citizenship in "Action Comics." You'll find countless opinions on Twitter from people who don't read many comics, but Jamal Igle, Gail Simone and Matthew Clark all chimed in to help balance the scales.

And while we're on the subject of "Action Comics," writer Paul Cornell was fun to follow this morning during Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding. Relive the suspense and see what bothered Neil Kleid the most about the whole event after the jump.

There are lots of movies based on comics coming out, but what makes “Priest” unique is that it comes from a manhwa published by Tokyopop. Though Tokyopop has been facing recent financial problems, the movie is alive and well.

As part of Summer Movie Preview Week, MTV News spoke with “Priest” star Paul Bettany about the very different world in which the movie is set.

For example, there are vampires in “Priest,” but they definitely don’t sparkle.

“They’re much more feral,” Bettany said about the film's bloodsuckers. “They’re more akin to a different species. In this world vampires and human beings have coexisted, not amicably, you know, with real animosity.” Read more...

The "Doctor Who" season premiere aired last weekend, and we warmed up for its arrival with some exclusive video featuring the cast of the long-running BBC series. Last Friday, we heard from The Doctor himself, Matt Smith, and then we kept things rolling with his companion, Amy Pond actress Karen Gillan.

This time around, we have some choice bits of "Doctor Who" brilliance from executive producer Piers Wenger, who spoke to MTV News from the set of the series, and received an unexpected drop-in from The Doctor midway through our chat.

"Planning this season of 'Doctor Who' has been a different experience to the previous season," Wenger told MTV News. "This is Matt's second season as The Doctor, and it's the Eleventh Doctor's second outing, and I think this time we were allowed to make the series more complex and darker and more surprising than maybe we were able to last year." We're still a few months away from the premiere of "Conan The Barbarian," but that doesn't mean Marcus Nispel's reboot of the popular movie franchise based on Robert E. Howard's sword-swinging barbarian isn't on our minds around MTV Splash Page HQ.

As part of our Summer Movie Preview Week, we chatted up "Conan the Barbarian" star Jason Momoa to find out how he prepped for the role and whether he's nervous about living up to Arnold Schwarzenegger's famous portrayal of the character.

Conan the Barbarian

"I went to the source material," said Momoa of how he readied himself for the role. "I went to Robert E. Howard. I've never played a role that's this rich. So much material. I was a big comic book fan." Read more...

Thor"Thor" thunders into theaters next week, so the Merry Marvel Marketing Machine has been firing on all cylinders lately. For example, a new Japanese trailer for "Thor" has found its way online that features quite a bit of new footage.

The new trailer popped up on SuperHeroHype earlier today, and includes a few more scenes involving the awesome-looking Destroyer, as well as the journey made by Thor, Sif, and The Warriors Three to the Frost Giants' frozen home, Jotunheim. At this point, we've seen a lot of Chris Evans as Captain America in the World War II-era "The First Avenger," but will he sport a similar look once he's thawed out in the modern day? Apparently not, according to Evans.

When MTV News spoke to Evans as part of our Summer Movie Preview Week, the actor revealed that the star-spangled superhero's suit will get an overhaul when he joins Iron Man, Thor, and the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in "The Avengers."

"[It's a] new costume," Evans told MTV News of Captain America's visual change-up in the 2012 blockbuster. "Yeah, it's awesome. It's really cool." Read more...

The Avengers” began filming this week, so that means there's even more demand for behind-the-scenes info on Marvel's upcoming team-up event.

MTV News recently sat with Bruce Banner himself, Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo, to learn more about his thoughts on the project. While Ruffalo couldn’t reveal too much, he did give us some hints about what to expect when he joins Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the rest of the team.
