Cowboys and AliensThe general public got a look at some new "Cowboys and Aliens" trailer action last week, but if you're a producer like Ron Howard, Jon Favreau's got a lot more to show you. I'm sure the same goes for the producers behind "Green Lantern" right now, but the tweets in the feed this morning only included trailer critiques on that front.

Check out what Bill Willingham was looking for in there, as well what Bryan Hitch refused to do on his birthday and who finished "Dragon Age 2" below. Those thoughts and Mark Millar's opinion on Arnold Schwarzenegger wanting to be President made the rundown in today's highlights.

Green LanternAn extended trailer for "Green Lantern" has found its way online after premiering on television this. While there's not a lot of new footage to be seen in the tv preview, it does give us yet another look at Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, some of the constructs he forms with the ring, and the rest of the Green Lantern Corps.

The new trailer also gives us yet another look at the Parallax entity, and offers some indication of how Hector Hammond acquires the powers that make him such a dangerous member of Hal Jordan's rogues gallery.

Oh, and there's a healthy dose of Tomar-Re and Kilowog, too — which is always nice. Read More...

Earlier this year, we caught a rumored impression of the script for David E. Kelly’s prime-time “Wonder Woman” pilot that highlighted the show’s central characters, Diana’s business-minded alter-egos, and the occasional “ice cream sleepover.” Not highlighted were any action sequences or examples of the titular heroine "laying the smack down," as they say.

Since then, updates on “Wonder Woman” have been decidedly wardrobe-related. And while re-writes on the script are said to have abounded, we haven’t gotten any peeks at recent pages, until now.

Io9 has gotten ahold of some pages from a more recent script, released for casting purposes. As noticed by the blog, changes seem focused on making the heroine more formidable, perhaps reacting to concerns that Diana appeared weak in former drafts. Read More...

Michael RosenbaumAs the end of “Smallville” draws closer, those involved have plenty to say about their experience. This includes Michael Rosenbaum, the actor who will bring fan-favorite villain Lex Luthor back to the small screen in one of the series' final episodes.

In an interview with TVLine, Rosenbaum discussed his return to The CW's “Smallville.”

"I have to say, that was the most amazing time, going back," he said. "There were people who worked on that crew that aren’t even working on the show anymore that came to see me. It was like a family I hadn’t seen in a while.” Read More...

Phil NotoThe new "X-Men: First Class" poster that arrived for the UK this week left a bit to be desired for some mutant fans, but artist Phil Noto drew some inspiration from the the film and made his own poster. Our feed this morning kicked off with a stack of deserved compliments, and I think you'll see why down below.

Hugh Jackman, meanwhile, rarely finds time in his busy life to use Twitter, but going off of his Wolverine diet and taking a production break in Paris evidently got him in the mood today. His exuberance, a sweet Catwoman sketch from Ted Naifeh and gut feelings about "Thor" and "Dylan Dog" all made the day's retweet list.

Late last year, we told you about "Almighty Thor," the upcoming film from "Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid" studio The Asylum, which specializes in low-budget, direct-to-video movies timed to coincide with major studio releases. Featuring a cast that includes pro wrestler Kevin Nash and actor Richard Grieco (yes, that Richard Grieco), "Almighty Thor" explores what happens when the "demon god Loki (Grieco) destroys the fortress of Valhalla and steals the Hammer of Invincibility."

Cody Deal plays Thor in the film, and judging by what we've seen of it so far, there's probably not much danger he'll be confused with Chris Hemsworth's take on the god of thunder. However, you can judge for yourself by watching our exclusive premiere of the "Almighty Thor" trailer:

Yes, that is a shot of Thor running down the street while firing an Uzi at the 0:42 mark — need we say more? I didn't think so. Read More...
