We know that the cast of "The Avengers" know each of the characters they're bringing to the big screen, but how much do they know about their fellow teammates and Earth's Mightiest Heroes?
In this MTV Movie Awards special feature, MTV Movies Correspondent Josh Horowitz asks three of the upcoming film's stars — Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Hemsworth — a few questions to gauge their Avengers IQ.
Oh, and if enough people head over to the official MTV page on Facebook and "like" this video, we'll post a bonus clip, too.
Let us know what you think of the video in the comment section or on Twitter!

This summer has no shortage of superhero movies. To better understand how “X-Men: First Class” will stand out amongst the competition, MTV News sat down with stars Kevin Bacon and January Jones to get the scoop.
When asked what set “X-Men: First Class” apart, Bacon cited "the emotional content" of the film, and added that "there’s a lot of emphasis on humanizing these mutants.” Read more...

This summer's comic book movie roster already promised to be a good one, but early buzz on "X-Men: First Class" seems to be getting better and better. That's more than can be said for the 3-D films in the minds of the comics folks in our feed. Even David Slade is bashing the medium.
Brian Michael Bendis, meanwhile, just wants his movies to have an infected zone somewhere in the plot. His explanation, a description of Tony Harris' new Starman tattoo and a "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" trailer reaction all made the rundown this morning.

Late last week, "X-Men: First Class" director Matthew Vaughn weighed in on the likelihood that we'll see a sequel to his last film featuring a cast of costumed vigilantes: 2010's "Kick-Ass." He's not the only one to talk "Kick-Ass 2" lately, though, as "Fright Night" actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse recently discussed the likelihood of returning as the Red Mist for another film based on the gritty comic.
Mintz-Plasse discussed "Kick-Ass 2" during the first night of the MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week, immediately following an early screening of the film and the online debut of an exclusive "Fright Night" clip.
"I want to [do a sequel]," Mintz-Plasse told MTV News. "We all want to, we just have to find the time. We're busy people." Read more...

Back in April, actor Isaiah Mustafa not only expressed interest in playing Luke Cage on the big screen, but the Old Spice pitchman also revealed that he's already had a meeting with Marvel about the role. Now it looks like he's taken his casting campaign one step further, and created a short pitch video of himself as Luke Cage.
Posted on YouTube by "ultimatecomicfan" (and discovered via the ever-vigilant SuperHeroHype crew), the video offers a quick synopsis of Luke Cage's origin story, with Mustafa playing the framed former gang member who agrees to undergo an experimental treatment that grants him super-hard skin and enhanced strength. The video ends with Mustafa saying, "The world will know me as Luke Cage." Read more...

It won’t be long before “X-Men: First Class” is in theaters, and then we’ll see if it does well enough to make a sequel a real possibility. However, talk of sequels is already out there — especially during our "X-Men: First Class" junket interviews — and director Matthew Vaughn has an answer ready, too.
“You could do hundreds [of sequels],” he said in an interview with Slash Film. “We’ve got from '62 to 2000, whenever that was set. The fun thing for this, sequel-wise, is you can go through the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s now.”
Still, nothing is guaranteed... yet. Read more...

The Dallas Mavericks seem to be getting more love in our feed than the Miami Heat as the NBA switches gears from the playoffs into the finals. Bulls fans may hold a grudge against LeBron James, but Dallas is the only team left in his path this year.
The comics twittersphere had loads of other matters to chat about last night as well. Brian Michael Bendis kept his "Powers" updates flowing, but writer Sterling Gates was the one keeping everyone in suspense over a supposed haunting at his apartment. Check out Mark Waid's theory and a deadline obstacle for Bill Willingham down below.

We've seen dozens of trailers, television spots, and promotional images for "Green Lantern" lately, but one thing we haven't much of so far are actual clips from the film. That changes today, though, with the premiere of a new clip featuring Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps' resident drill sergeant, Kilowog.
Kilowog voice actor Michael Clarke Duncan debuted the clip during an appearance on G4TV's "Attack of the Show," and discussed why his pre-existing affinity for the Green Lantern Corps made it easy to portray the character. The short piece of footage also revealed yet another way in which Hal will use the ring in the film, as he's forced to create a grappling hook construct to save himself from one of Kilowog's constructs.
Duncan also talked about cats and doing push-ups and stuff, but let's be honest — you want to see the clip. Read more...

"X-Men: First Class" hits theaters next week, but if the rave reviews are any indication, this probably won't be the last we'll see of the film's cast and the mutants they portray.
During the "X-Men: First Class" junket, MTV News asked the cast how they'd like to see their characters evolve in a second film, given the chance to come back for a sequel. Some of their answers make mention of one or two plot points, so here's your SPOILER WARNING — just in case.
"I think that as much as this is a story about superheroes and stuff like that, you can't paper over the fact that he's just been made significantly physically disabled and you need to address that," said James McAvoy of how he sees Charles Xavier's story arc developing in a "First Class" sequel.
