"Green Lantern" hits theaters in just a few weeks now, so it's no surprise that we're seeing bunches of new "Green Lantern" trailers, television spots, and other promotional footage popping up around the 'net lately. What is a bit of a surprise, however, is how much new footage we're seeing in the aforementioned teasers.
For example, check out the new theatrical trailer for "Green Lantern" that arrived online this weekend:
Posted at Yahoo Movies, the new trailer is narrated by Geoffrey Rush, who voices the beaked Green Lantern named Tomar-Re.
Along with offering up much of the back story of the film, the trailer also features a few new constructs we'll see Hal Jordan (or one of the other members of the Green Lantern Corps) form with their rings. An emerald-hued car shows up around the 2:15 mark, and Hal appears to be manning an anti-aircraft gun for a brief moment at the 2:16 mark.
There's also another nod to the fear-fueled Parallax entity having a symbol of its own, as well as some new images glimpsed within the yellow energy waves.
But that's not the only new promo for "Green Lantern" to hit the 'net the last few days. A few television spots have found their way online, too — though they offer considerably less footage we haven't seen before.
Over at SuperHeroHype, they've collected many of the "Green Lantern" television spots, which don't offer a lot of new footage but might be worth checking out if you want to make sure you've seen every single frame of footage that's been made available so far.
"Green Lantern" hits theaters June 17.
