Late last week, "X-Men: First Class" director Matthew Vaughn weighed in on the likelihood that we'll see a sequel to his last film featuring a cast of costumed vigilantes: 2010's "Kick-Ass." He's not the only one to talk "Kick-Ass 2" lately, though, as "Fright Night" actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse recently discussed the likelihood of returning as the Red Mist for another film based on the gritty comic.
Mintz-Plasse discussed "Kick-Ass 2" during the first night of the MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week, immediately following an early screening of the film and the online debut of an exclusive "Fright Night" clip.
"I want to [do a sequel]," Mintz-Plasse told MTV News. "We all want to, we just have to find the time. We're busy people."
If you've been following along at home, you know that "Kick-Ass" comic book creators Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. are already hard at work on the print version of "Kick-Ass 2," but whether the comic's sequel will also find its way to the big screen is unknown at this point. However, one plot point about Mintz-Plasse's character arc is already public knowledge — The Red Mist will be getting a new name.
"If there is a sequel, I will be called The Motherf---er, and I will be a villain and kill lots of people," he laughed.
