We still have a while to wait before "The Walking Dead" shambles back to television screens, but much like last season, AMC seems intent on keeping fans sated with new images and other sneak peeks between now and the Season Two premiere.
Yesterday, the network debuted two new images from the now-filming second season of the series, and as expected, they're pretty gruesome in the most zombie-tastic way.
"At this moment, I'm standing on a stretch of post-apocalypse interstate in Georgia, littered with abandoned cars and blessing my good luck to be reunited with our amazing cast, and our fantastic directors and crew," wrote series Executive Producer/Writer/Director Frank Darabont on AMC's official "Walking Dead" blog. "Across the board, there are none better. It's great to be shooting again. I think we've embarked on a great season."
Earlier this week, we debuted the first images of some "The Walking Dead" action figures based on the hit series, including a figure based on Norman Reedus' character, Daryl Dixon. MTV News spoke to Reedus about the second season a month ago, and he said things would get "a little more hardcore" when the hit show returns.
"We're in the woods this time," he explained. "The first season we did the city ... but this time we're in the country. I think it gets a little more hardcore this season."
The second season of "The Walking Dead" is scheduled to premiere this fall with a 13-episode arc.
