Sylvester Stallone’s new movie may not have a name yet, but the actors are piling on.
According to Variety, Christian Slater, Holt McCallany and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje have joined the cast. The movie is based on the comic book “Bullet to the Head,” though it seems the film will end up with a different title. The story is about a New Orleans hitman (Stallone) who helps a police officer kill the people who killed their partners.
Slater will play a handler and McCallany will play another police officer. It sounds as if Akinnuoye-Agbaje will have the juiciest role, because he gets to play the villain. His character will be taking advantage of the most poverty-stricken parts of New Orleans that have been destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
While Slater might be the best-known of the three, being in such films as “Interview with the Vampire” and “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves,” it doesn’t mean he’s the only one with a strong acting past. British actor Akinnuoye-Agbaje has appeared in the movies “Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls,” “The Mummy Returns” and “The Bourne Identity,” as well as the TV shows “Lost” and “Oz.” McCallany, on the other hand, has been in “Alien 3,” “Fight Club” and “Three Kings.”
Alessandro Camon, who wrote 2009's “The Messenger,” has written the script for this movie.
